James and his team at Hammer Head are the consummate professionals in the world of home repair and painting. James initially came by for a quote which was right on par with others I received. We decided to go with James because he seemed to be the most knowledgeable of wood siding repair and how to salvage the siding in our home. Other contractors wanted to completely gut the siding and replace it with vinyl or other siding type. I explained to James that my wife and I bought our house because of the wood siding and he immediately presented several plans on how to save, repair and replace several pieces of rotting or seemingly rotted wood. With material and labor costs rising, we knew we would pay a premium in this day and age, but his pricing was still well within reason. James and my family agreed for them to stain the entire house and detached shed in Benjamin Moore Hidden Valley brown color stain with the trim of the windows and doors in hunter green. They also replaced several pieces of rotted wood, repaired some wood that were showing signs of distress, and practically rebuilt the rotted-out shed to new. Throughout the process James kept in contact with us and our job was finally scheduled in August 2022. James’ team overall were superb, including his assistant and her sense of humor. James’ team respected our property and were friendly to talk with during the whole 4.5 days they were on site. They arrived promptly every morning at 9 am, left by 4 pm and always put their equipment away in a nice and orderly fashion by the side of our house. All the days the guys were here the temp averaged above 95 degrees yet they worked tirelessly taking great care staining the whole house. They were never sloppy with their work and their equipment. They also seemed to always be in good spirits. It was also nice to see the Project Manager, Joe, stop by several times throughout the project to check in on the guys to make sure everything was going as planned. Overall, this was hands-down the best, most professional and organized contractor/company I’ve ever worked with. We’re extremely happy with the end result and would not hesitate to call James in the future. In speaking with James, he’s got a great story too in how he built his company and it’s entrepreneurs like him you want to support.
