ABOUT US: We are a family owned custom home builder with over 35 years experience in the Northeast Florida Custom Home Business. We specialize in custom homes built on your lot or we will help you find the prefect home site to build your new home. CUSTOM HOMES DEFINED: Most builders say they are “Custom”, but what exactly does that mean? Builders can say they are custom just by moving a window, adding a door, etc. They may even use tricky marketing and sales tactics to lure you in. But once you begin talking with them, you quickly realize that they will customize a home and charge BIG fees to do so. We are truly a “custom home builder” with pricing that is very competitive because we have low overhead, a no nonsense attitude, are committed to customer relationships, and on the job every day to ensure things are done right. QUESTIONS TO ASK HOME BUILDERS: Will I be working with the person that holds the State Certified Contractors License for the company that will permit and build my new home? Will I have the cell phone number and email address for the owner of the company? Can I make as many changes as I want to the floor plan and specifications? Can I choose any option I would like to include in my home? Can you draw and design a new custom floor plan and elevation for me? Will you work from a plan that I want to provide? What items will I be able to select for my new home?

David is a phenomenal builder. We took our time designing this house. David was involved and patient the whole way, providing feedback and quotes on our different design ideas. Totally open to building whatever you want. He is frugal, fair and upfront about what things will cost. He spots problems and defects way before you'll see them and he was at the house constantly while it was being built. This is the 3rd house I've had built and he is by far the best.

Looking to build a custom or forever home, call David Greek StoneHurst Custom Homes. Built on professionalism, knowledge and a strong work ethic you are in great hands. Pick home plans on the StoneHurst website or bring your own. David will ensure your dream home becomes a reality. We built a 4BR, 3.5bath open concept home with a 3 bay garage for a little over $390’s on our own land. We added about 25K in upgrades, but delighted with the results. Most deadlines met as advertised, except where weather and holiday while the challenge, but David made sure you were involved and communicated anything that came up. Exemplary work quaility. Thank you David.

We have a saying in the South about people like Mr. Frank and Mrs. Terrie...
"They are just Good People"
I never thought 40 years ago when I got into this business we could ever do what we did for the McSween's. I never met either one of them in person until after we had completed the custom home plan, closed the loan and cleared the lot. Everything was done by email and even the closing was a mail-away.
When they did come to town the first time we were well under way with construction. Color selections and material selections were a breeze. Mrs. Terrie knew what she wanted and made it easy for us to plan and schedule our sub-contractors.
I have to give credit to Mrs. Terrie...She had done her homework and had all her "ducks in a row". Being a retired military commander certainly prepared her for a long distance building project and Mr. Frank also got to give his input for His Man Cave mechanical systems .
Another thing I would have never done even 10 years ago, would be call the front door supplier in California and give some lady I had never met before my credit card information and expect her to ship me a $4,000. door across the country. But sure enough two days later I received a shipping confirmation and 7 days later the doors arrived. They make a statement about the front entry and are beautiful.
Thanks again Mr. Frank and Mrs. Terrie and I hope you and your family enjoy your new home for many years to come.

Stonehurst Custom Homes, Inc. completed construction of our home in November of 2013. We were completely satisfied with the entire building process from start to finish. David Greek, his associates, and sub-contractors did a fantastic job without question. Every step of the construction process was completed on time with zero re-work or deficiencies. This builder was on-point with every phase and every aspect of quality home construction! We requested numerous upgrades during the construction process and they were professionally incorporated exactly as requested. After moving into the home, our highest electric bill during the hottest part of the summer was only around $200-$250 which we attribute to the excellent construction and energy efficiency of the home. We lived in the house for four years until I was transferred to another state due to my occupation, so we had to sell it. We never experienced any adverse issues with the home during the time we lived there. We are currently building another home with a different builder in Texas and it's been a far cry from the stress free experience we had from Stonehurst. If Stonehurst Custom Homes built homes in the state of Texas, we would have selected them without hesitation.

Excellent build quality! Sub-contractors are top notch and, in most cases, several generations of experience. David is a custom home builder. As such, he is wide open for suggestions on how you'd like your home built. If you don't have everything figured out...no worries...as David can pull from his decades of experience and huge custom portfolio to give you some ideas. We are in the planning stages of building a vacation home at the beach...we wouldn't have anyone else build it!

Honesty, Integrity, Responsive, Easy to Work With, Fair.....these are how I would describe David Greek and his son Kyle of Stonehurst Builders. Our project started with a design on graph paper a wish list and a stack of photo ideas from Houzz. David built our dream home.....incredible attention to detail, terrific subs, in budget, on time and energy efficiency is what we got along with a ton of compliments.....my wife is often recognized as "living in the beautiful grey house with the white trim", after 2 years people still ring the doorbell to ask about the builder and the paint colors.....a terrific compliment to our home! We have been in the house for 2 years and love it more everyday! We would build with David again in a heartbeat and highly recommend Stonehurst Builders! Before you build in the Jacksonville area give David a chance to earn your business......you won't regret it!

It was a pleasure working with you and Lynn to build exactly the custom home you were both were looking for. You and Lynn had done your research and knew exactly what you wanted included.

Since we never build the same home twice, or rarely for the same customer twice, it is sometimes difficult for the owners to fully understand what a custom home is.....and how to take that idea and turn it into your new home.

I appreciate your confidence in me and my company to build just the home you wanted. We do our very best on every home we build to take the same care and standards as if it were our home. I am glad we were able to meet your expectations and that you love your new home.

The Custom Home Business has changed so much in the past twenty years with everyone now looking at style and design items on the Internet (Houzz.com) Much less all the selection of materials and finishes available in today's market. One thing that I feel has not changed is the one on one communication we have with our owners.

I think that was one of the things that attracted me to this business years ago. The diverse people you meet and get to work with. And it is just a bonus to be able to drive back by a home we built one, five or twenty years ago and still feel a sense of pride that it's still there today.

We absolutely love our home built by David Greek/Stonehurst Custom Homes. We had built 2 homes previously with big companies and both processes were nightmares to go through! Building with Stonehurst was the best experience, David helped us work with our budget to achieve what we wanted. He gave us expert advice based on his many years experience to make our home very energy efficient, which was a priority to us. Our electric bills are almost 1/2 what they were in our previous smaller home. He put up with all my crazy design ideas (most from Houzz website) and made them reality! I have the most beautiful, functional kitchen that I still love every day. David built us our dream home. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to make it happen. He is a builder you can trust. I finally have a home worthy to grace the pages of Houzz website!
