We’ve been in our new home for one year. While we love the house, we would not choose to work with Cypress Homes again, given their lack of responsiveness over the past year. We were initially drawn to Cypress by the high quality of their work. We worked with Josh, who was truly exceptional. We appreciated how responsive he was to our questions and concerns. He worked really hard to get us the home we wanted for our unique lot. The frustrations began when we transitioned from sales to project management. The project manager rarely responded to questions, and when he did, it was often with inaccurate or misleading information. The months of poor communication continued right up to the final walk through. It was visible that the excavator did not do a proper job of grading on three sides of our house. The Contract Specifications state, “The grader will slope the terrain to provide drainage away from the foundation…The finished grade of the soil shall slope away from the dwelling at a rate of at least ½” per foot for a minimum distance of 10’...” In multiple spots, the grade actually slopes toward the house and the foundation by about five inches, leading to standing water against the foundation. It’s been an entire year of calling and emailing, and Cypress has still not met the contract language. Initially, I emailed, called, and texted the project manager about this problem. He never responded. I spent thousands of dollars fixing the drainage problem myself on two sides of the house shortly after we moved in. Because the house is under a one-year warranty, I expected to work with the office staff this spring to resolve the remaining issue on one side of our home. I was right to be concerned. Thawing snow and early spring rain quickly revealed the sloping grade toward the house. Water pooled against the foundation, leading our sump pump to cycle every two minutes for more than a week. For more than three months, I have emailed and called to explain the issue and seek resolution. The lack of response has been stunning. One year after we moved in, the issue is unresolved. Final recommendation: If you want a quality new home, Cypress Homes will likely deliver. But if you want a quality new home and seek a positive building experience (contract upheld, professional and timely communication, etc.), take your business elsewhere.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with our new home from Cypress Homes! From the very beginning, the entire experience has been exceptional. The team at Cypress Homes really took the time to understand what we wanted in our dream home, and their design and customization options in the home we purchased from them enabled us to create a space that’s truly ours. The quality of craftsmanship is clearly evident in every detail, from the beautifully finished floors to the energy-efficient features that keep our utility bills low. We love the modern touches and thoughtful design, which blend perfectly with the comfort and functionality we needed for our family. What impressed us most was the level of communication and support throughout the process. The team was always available to answer questions and kept us updated every step of the way, making the entire home-purchasing process much smoother than we had anticipated. And when we did have small adjustments or questions after moving in, they were quick to respond and make sure everything was perfect. Overall, buying a home from Cypress Homes was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We feel like we have a home that reflects our style, needs, and values—and it’s all thanks to the dedication and care Cypress Homes put into every aspect of our new house. We couldn’t be happier with the result and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new home.

We would like to thank Cypress Homes for making our first-time home build a wonderful experience. Shannon listened to all of our requests and made great design suggestions. She always answered our questions promptly. Taya, who is extremely organized, made the design process to smoothly. The Cypress design center kept a large variety of finishes in one convenient location, Contractors on-site took the time to ask us detailed questions about what we wanted right down to the smallest detail. They were courteous, provided quality craftsmanship, and cared about our input. We were very pleased when our custom home was finished ahead of schedule. A high level of excellence was shown by everyone on the team, and we cannot thank Cypress Homes enough for building our forever home!

Building a home is a massive financial, physical, and emotional endeavor. In turn, it requires a builder that is far beyond merely competent - Cypress is indisputably that builder. One of the things that drew us to Cypress, in addition the quality, was the option to build a custom home. Devon listened to us and collaborated with us to make our vision come to life. His creativity and attention to detail helped us maximize space while staying in budget. He continued to help throughout the entire process, and from this, we came to conclude he is a jack of ALL trades, and a master of ALL! For example, he was covered in mud and helping out the day we broke ground, he was our relator, and he dropped everything one day to install something that needed to be done. In addition to Devon, we worked most closely with Taya and Jalen. All of the aforementioned individuals (and I am sure the rest of the Cypress team behind the scenes) went above and beyond for us every step of the way. They were approachable, responsive, friendly, attentive, knowledgable, and excellent problem solvers. It was impressive to see the appropriate Cypress employee take charge when needed. They were always our advocate and never put us in the middle with any of the subcontractors. Additionally, during the very few hangups that occurred, a plan to fix the issue was in place almost instantaneously. I have no reservations in recommending Cypress!

We have recently completed our build with Cypress, and cannot say enough good things about the entire process. From purchasing our lot, to picking out our finishes, everything was absolutely seamless! Each and every person we met throughout this journey has completely exceeded our expectations. Greg, Devon, Taya and Jalen were all excellent to work with. Their professionalism, organization, attention to detail and care for our home was outstanding. Our home is just stunning! Everything turned out exactly the way we had imagined. It still doesn't feel real that we get to live here! We cannot thank you all enough for our dream home!!

We met with many builders and ended up working with Cypress because they were the company that listened the most to our needs and what we were looking for. They were willing to change things around to fit our budget and helped us make sense of the entire process. Shannon was helpful every step of the way and Taya's designs helped make the process so easy and fun. Devon and Ian as project managers were wonderful with keeping us in the loop every step of the way. We know we will be happy in this home for years to come!

The Cypress Family, in a way, become my 2nd family. They guided me through the dreaming, designing, planning and building of my new home with professionalism and with care for the customer. From the initial conferences with Shannon, design meetings with Taya and to the onsite walkthroughs with Chris and Larry, the Cypress team worked with a positive attitude to educate me on the homebuilding process and keep me informed of its progress. We would recommend Cypress Homes to anyone considering building. Shannon, Taya, and Chris were all great to work with. They were courteous, professional, responsive, patient, always willing to answer any questions and promptly. I walked in one day to get information and met Shannon and she was so knowledgeable and we worked through many design changes and option changes before getting started and she was so patient and offered many ideas to make our home a reality. Taya helped us with all the design options and I was very indecisive and she helped work through all that with great patience. Once the build started we worked with Chris and he kept us so up to date with everything that was happening. We had some issues along the way but we let him know and he had them corrected immediately. He was so easy to work with.
