East Coast Tile and Flooring

Dave was very helpful in selecting tile for our three bathroom in a new build. He listened to what we wanted and was able to quickly present us with several options from which to choose. He was very knowledgeable and could answer any questions we had. We highly recommend him!

East Coast Tile - Great Tile Contractor: East Coast Tile (ECT) provided a great showroom for tile selection and purchasing and followed up with an impressive installation! I am a lifelong resident of Delmar, DE and self-built my home about 11 years ago. I got everything right on except the Master Shower - I did not do a good job with the "mud pan" and was forced to remodel! I decided I would do things right this time and leave it to the pros so I asked around and East Coast Tile kept coming up as the right company for both Commercial and Residential work. ECT's prices were substantially (and I mean substantially) less than other competing bathroom remodel companies. I ended up performing the demolition of the existing Master Shower, replaced the subflooring, reframed to add in a "Shelf" and "Bench", installed an Acrylic pan, installed the Hardie Backer Board, and waterproofed the walls with 3 coats of RedGard. I then purchased the tile from ECT. Renee and Dave were both extremely helpful in the showroom and let us take samples home and assisted us with selecting grout colors, accent tiles, etc. The last part of the project was tile installation which ECT completed as well - their field crews were fantastic! Dave scheduled the work and we only had to wait around 4 to 6 weeks to get the crews lined up. The field crew worked their butts off for 2 straight days (I have a large shower with lots of angles and cuts) and were extremely thorough. I was extremely impressed with their field installers - these guys were spanish workers and really knew what they were doing and were extremely meticulous, led by Mark who was their field supervisor. Overall fantastic experience - I was initially quoted around $15k and $20k for the Master Shower remodel by local competing companies. I ended up performing all the demo, reframing, Acrylic pan install, Hardie Backer, and RedGard waterproofing and ended up paying only around $4k to $5k for professional services and saved a boatload of money! Thank you ECT for helping me out so much and for doing such great work. I am writing this review in February 2020 (5 months after the project was completed) and the tile is holding up fantastic and drains great and looks great!

I have used East Coast Tile and flooring for 3 projects at 2 different locations. A backsplash in my year round home and a backsplash and new tile in a vacation home. They have been competitive in pricing, stock a wide selection of samples and install in a timely manner. Dave is easy to work with and I believe most people would be happy to call on this business for their home remodeling projects.

We were extremely please with the kitchen backsplash and kitchen island work that ECT did for us. Dave, Charlie, and James were excellent thru the entire process. The quality of the work was very good, the cost reasonable, they showed up on time, were very polite and courteous, and cleaned up each day like they were never there. Highly recommend!!

After having spent considerable time looking for a firm to remodel two bathrooms in our home, we found East Coast Tile & Flooring in Pittsville, MD and their highly talented design consultant, Dave Slater. Dave came to our home, took measurements, and offered suggestions. Next, we met several times at East Coast Tile’s showroom where Dave showed us various tiles and vanities. They have so many tiles to select from in their showroom. Their able crew of tile experts did an excellent job of remodeling our bathrooms including removing a large jetted tub and replacing it with a zero entry shower. It looks beautiful! East Coast also created a new closet, replaced the tile on the kitchen floor, installed a beautiful backsplash, and new stone fireplace facade. They completed the job on time and within budget. I’d highly recommend them. Be sure to ask for Dave!

Was very pleased with the professional service provided by East Coast Tile and Flooring. We love our newly installed shower and tiled flooring. From the first visit David made for the initial quote, through the demolition and installation service I was very impressed with the courtesy of all involved thru the process and the timely manner in which it was completed.

I can't say enough about Dave Slater and the crew at East Coast Tile. The show room is full of choices, the staff is very knowledgeable and listened to my preferences to help me find the right tile for my new build. Dave Slater was very professional, easy going and had a wonderful design sense. He even advised me on countertop choices and color schemes. East Coast Tile completed our project within a time frame that worked with the rest of the building schedule. The final product exceeded my expectations and my budget was respected. Overall, I see no reason to go anywhere else if you live on the Eastern Shore of Delmarva.

From the time we set foot in the showroom till the project was completed everyone was helpful and professional. They started on the day promised and finished ahead of schedule. I would defiantly work with this company again and recommend to all my friends and clients. Also the selection is superior to anything around!

East Coast Tile and Flooring replaced our large walk-in master bathroom shower. Everyone we worked with was well-informed, professional and highly skilled. We received excellent advice and guidance in designing our shower, and they promptly answered all of our questions and concerns. The project manager was easy to reach, came every couple of days to check in and make sure the work was being done well, and he kept us informed when there was an unexpected 1 day delay in construction. When we chose a fairly new shower valve system for our shower, they initiated researching its requirements and the installation process and were completely ready when it was time to be installed. The quality of the work of the tile men and plumber (who they provided) was excellent! At the end of every day of construction, they cleaned up after themselves and we felt they showed great respect for our home and for this project. We highly recommend East Coast Tile and Flooring and plan to hire them again for our next bathroom project.

East Coast Tile provided a professional experience from the initial meeting with Nicole, the design consultant, to the precise measurements by Dave, to the excellent installation by Donnie and James of our kitchen backsplash.

My wife and I could NOT be any happier with the way our bathroom turned out!! The folks at East Coast Tile and Flooring (ECT) were extremely helpful with our selection process. Sure, like you reading this I too went to the “big box home stores” looking for a deal. Yeah….you’ll get a deal alright….a deal where you lose! Dave Slater was awesome in he saved us a fortune with one simple suggestion to add to our flooring install. The builders of the home didn’t do such a hot job with the subflooring and after his suggestion, we added another 0.75” plywood thereby guaranteeing the integrity of the tile floor install. I would have not known that otherwise and there would have been several thousand dollars wasted. Thank you Dave! EDT supplied the tile and all the installation. Don’t let the front of ECT storefront fool you either. I passed it the first time thinking it was a private home. When you go into the showroom, the options are absolutely endless! That was one of the most exciting elements of the whole project. Of course we selected one of the upper grades of tile, there is a budget for everyone in their showroom. All you need to do is ask. We were initially turned off to the idea of tile due to the failed tile in our kitchen that was installed by Ryan Homes. All other things being equal…cost is relative. You get what you pay for and I’m VERY HAPPY with the way our project turned out. I can be rest assured that the next project to come up after the master bedroom will be that darn kitchen floor. I already know where I’m going to purchase my tile from and that is East Coast Tile & Flooring!! Trust me…you won’t be sorry adding them to your team!!
