Our old french door was warped, beaten down by weather and in need of replacement. We purchased the door but had no idea of who we could hire to install the door. We were referred by the door company to Regency Construction and Tim Scherrer. Tim met with us, explained how the job would be done, how long it would take and gave us an estimate of the cost. The door manufacturer failed to provide the door on the date specified and Tim gracefully acknowledged he would have to find a new date once it was received. A month later, the door came in. We took delivery on a Monday, and without delay, Tim and his crew were there to move it to the back of the house where the installation would take place. By Wednesday, the door was installed and looked like it belonged there. The job required removing several aged redwood boards that had to be put back in place, and all of it went back on the house in perfect condition. The trim, the threshold and every other aspect of the work was done with a high level of craftsmanship. Tim stopped by the job each day to check on the status of the work and provide any guidance his men needed. We could not be more pleased. I recommend that anyone involved with a remodel project consider Tim and Regency for the work.

We had extensive damage from winter storms to the back of our house including roofs, brick and stone walls and decks due to falling trees. A lot of damage also to the back of the house. Regency was quick too respond after debris was removed. They worked well with my insurance company, usaa, and all of their subs were very professional. It was a seamless operation and well done,

Regency just finished the total remodel/rebuild of our 65 year old farm/ranch house. Tim and his crew were professional, talented and became like family during the project. They have presented us with our dream home for our retirement. Their skill and creativity was a pleasure to watch. Tim came in on time and on budget with a job that certainly had it's pitfalls. We would hire them again in a minute!

When we purchased our home in 2012, we found ourselves unexpectedly becoming the contractor for the improvements that we wanted done. In short order, we were in over our heads. When our bathroom remodel was at it's low point, we had the good fortune to meet Tim Scherer and his associates at Regency Construction. Tim brought order to the chaos that we found ourselves in and finished the project on time and within budget. Tim is a man of his word and he does what he says he'll do. He does not shy away from a challenge. You can't go wrong with Regency Construction. Regency continues to do improvements and maintenance around our house to keep it in the best possible condition.

I'm currently finishing up my 2nd project with Tim and his top notch team. This is an extensive remodel of a home built in the 80s that has had several low quality additions over the years. The project has been a technical challenge for everyone involved. This remodel includes a new contemporary kitchen, double master bath, powder room, revised floor to ceiling fireplace, new wood floors throughout, larger windows, new entry, stone and tile work and so much more. The home is now looking fabulous to match it's stunning views of Point Lobos. Tim and his subcontractors provide high quality craftsmanship, are all easy to work with and handle the most challenging job site problems with a positive, can do attitude. The communication between team members and the client is excellent. The owner will be moving back into their beautifully revamped home in the coming weeks. I highly recommend Regency Construction for any type of construction you may be considering, whether updating, adding on or new construction. I truly look forward to our next collaboration!

Our first association with Regency Construction was in late1998 when we began an extensive, end to end, remodeling job (approximately $300,000) on a Carmel Valley house we had recently purchased. The work continued until we took up residence in June 1999 and then in phases until the end of the year. Regency was selected from three bidders. The quality of work performed was excellent, budgets and timelines were met, and good communication was always maintained. This was particularly gratifying since, for more than 6 months after the start of work, we lived in Los Angeles and had infrequent face-to-face onsite interaction. A few years later we contracted with Regency to install a couple of hundred feet of wooden fencing. This was, relatively, a very small job and was also completed very satisfactorily. In late 2008, Regency was awarded a $468,000 contract (out of 10 original bidders) by the Carmel Valley Historical Society to construct a History Building for the Society. The building was completed in 2012. Regency's performance has been excellent from all viewpoints and Tim Sherer, Owner, has been an indispensable and enthusiastic manager and advisor to the Society. He has ensured that we have a well-built and well-finished structure which is, in fact, better than the original plans defined. We highly recommend Regency Construction for any work they undertake. Dear Tim: We want to thank you and your talented and hard-working crews for the outstanding job all of you did repairing our home following the discovery of extensive water damage. When we became aware we had a problem, we hired a widely-respected waterproofing expert, Myles Corcoran, to evaluate it. He, in turn, recommended we hire your firm to do the work. Little did we imagine the extent of the damage, the scope of the work that would be required to address it or the fact we would have to vacate the premises for seven months while the work was being done.
