Westlake Royal Building Products

Westlake is a horrible company and DO NOT buy from them. My husband and I hired a contractor to build our retirement home and we purchased their prefabricated stone product Winterhaven ProFit Alpine Ledgestone for all of our interior and exterior stone, This product was already chipping and cracking before we moved into our house in September 2024. I have a whole bag of chipped stone since we moved in and now when you touch the cracking, it just flakes off. We have been trying to get this company to remedy the situation and they are not responsive. I wish I could post pictures to demonstrate the poor quality of this fabricated stone. Their website says they have a 50 year warranty and they won't even warranty within one year of their product. This is not over Westlake!!!

I'm an installer and have 1 house that keeps busting the ends off when the wall contracts. We replaced 1 whole wall and several other individual pieces and recently had to go back and replace several that were replaced last time. I think I figured out what is happening. Upon removing the broken pieces I noticed the rows were stuck together from the paint. This is a dark color that gets really hot when the sun hits it.

We recently had our home resided with Royal Board & Batten in Heritage Blue. We love it! : )

In less than 2 years the siding is bubbling or melting. We filed a claim and Royal is not honoring it saying it is due to a reflection which is not covered by warranty. This result is after weeks of waiting for replies. Poor product and poor customer service. I would not recommend that anyone use this product.

Royal does not honor their warranty. I had Royal woodlands installed by a contractor and within a month it started to bubble. The contractor was able to get I box of siding to repair the worst areas. Those areas are now perfect. Other areas are beginning to bubble. I submitted a warranty request along with pictures and a sample. I was denied twice due to reflected heat. My siding contractor, his installer, and the building supplier all said Royals claim of reflected heat is bogus. If it was reflected heat the repaired areas would still show bubbling. Zero stars for their warranty.

We have used CELECT siding on a number of houses and like the product very much. Visually, It has sleek, sharp lines and a good texture. So far, it has also been durable and keeps it's color well.
