Debra has helped us with several remodeling projects in our house and we could not be more pleased. Most recently she transformed our fireplace wall and laundry room. While Debra is knowledgeable on current trends, she listens carefully to our preferences to ensure our happiness. No detail is too small when it came to our overall satisfaction. Debra is professional and easy to work with. She is very respectful with your budget regardless of the size of your project. I'm already looking forward to working with her again for our next remodeling project!

Debra and her team did an amazing job on our Kitchen Remodel! She not only designed the cabinet layout but acted as our Project Manager. We couldn't have done it with out her! She helped advise us through the whole project and was there whenever there was a question. The communication between Debra and her team at Shields Contracting was spot on. She is creative, attentive to details, professional and FUN to work with! I highly recommend Debra! We love our new Kitchen!!

Debra updated my kitchen and did an amazing job! I decided to enlist her help after seeing the beautiful job she did on a friend's kitchen and bath. Using a professional was the best decision we made. Her knowledge and expertise made such a difference! The kitchen was just completed and we are so happy with the results.

We are a few weeks after the completion of our kitchen remodel. As you can see from the pictures, it was a complete gut and rebuild. We could not be happier with our kitchen...and we could not have done it without Deb and her crew. Deb was instrumental in coming up with creative solutions to problems and was also very helpful in coming up with ways we could save money in order for us to get all the things we wanted from our new kitchen. We definitely would use Design Line Works again, and highly recommend them.

I had bad experience with Debra. My project was a disaster. She was very unprofessional and dismissive. I texted her about crown molding she never acknowledged the text. The bar part of my counter was not installed not until 2 weeks later I was told it was not included in the price. Some of the measurement was inaccurate I had to improvise.

Marie,
I am sorry you are disappointed with your beautiful new kitchen. As our contract stated you did not wish to hire me for project management, only design and purchase of your cabinets and tops.
As you are aware this tiny project has stretched out for well over a year now. Many of the problems you have encountered were due to the lack of a project manager and poor communication to both myself and others on the jobsite.
The countertops were incorrect due to miscommunication from the fabricator which was corrected as soon as possible, (10 days) and I made certain there was no additional charge to correct the issue. Since the house was not ready for occupancy at the time, It did not cause any inconvenience at all, please be honest.
I have on several occasions, referred professionals to help you and made site visits to correct issues at no additional charge. There comes a time however as a business owner I need to bring an end to a project when the client does not want to pay for additional services. As I explained to you, the crown moldings you received are typical crown moldings which look good on all cabinet styles and were within your budget.
I sincerely hope you enjoy your new home!

I wanted a beautiful kitchen within my budget. I ended up with a showroom quality kitchen that was within my budget and far more beautiful than I imagined it could be. All is due to the expertise and knowledge of Debra James and Design Line Works. There are so many details involved in any project and Debra guided me through all of them to my dream kitchen. Debra James did an incredible job designing and implementing three bathrooms for me. All three (includes a master bath) look wonderful just as depicted on the design drawings. Debra was very nice to deal with and her recommendation for the contractor worked out great as well. I would certainly recommend Debra to anyone who wants to remodel their bath or kitchen. She was also very helpful recommending other services to me that proved to be perfect for the work I needed to have done. Kudos to Debra! She's wonderful!

Kudos to Debra James and her construction specialists. Our Master Bath total redesign exceeded ALL of our expectations. Without her considerable expertise, I shudder to think of the consequences. Fortunately, she was there every step of the way. As a result, our Master Bath looks more like what you would find in a luxury spa. It even has a gorgeous chandelier. Thanks, Debra!

I hired Debra to create the specifications for a kitchen remodel so that I could shop for cabinets. The job was limited to the specifications only. She was professional and answered my emails and phone calls within 24 hours. I found her to be very knowledgeable about kitchen design. She also has vendors for cabinets and granite that she can recommend. As with any project, I would suggest verifying the dimensions on the specifications to ensure the design is what you expect.

Thanks for your review Deborah! I would love to see a picture of the final outcome. As for the measurements, I believe we agreed they were spot on. My decision to use smaller cabinetry was based solely on the scale of the space. While there was certainly space available for some larger pieces it is my professional opinion that slightly smaller sizes better fit the space considering the era of the home and the space in its entirety. You will have a lovely "new home' either way I am certain.

Commented: Which backsplash?I would stick with 1 wall color in a room that small. Accent walls look dated and changing color in a room as small as a powder room tends to accentuate its small size. Remember less is more!
