We are so very pleased with our newly renovated kitchen. Cabinet Studio was very attentive to our idea for what we wanted, while bringing their own creativity to the project.

Tim Nichols is absolutely the BEST! We started out only intending to replace our Formica counter tops and to perhaps extend the existing bar into a peninsula to better define the cooking space in our 20 year old kitchen. Our contractor suggested that we consult a kitchen designer to consider all of the possibilities before we started, and I had worked with Cabinet Studio previously so I immediately contacted Tim Nichols. Tim is a pleasure to work with in every respect. He asks a lot of questions with regard to problematic issues, makes excellent suggestions to address issues, and works well with everyone involved in a project from start to finish. We ended up totally remodeling our kitchen by turning the desk/pantry space into a beverage center which also serves as a buffet for large family gatherings and extending the existing bar into a peninsula with an additional prep sink. The kitchen functions beautifully just as it was designed! We could not be happier with the end result as well as with the overall experience. I highly recommend Tim Nichols at Cabinet Studio!

Complete Kitchen and Master Bath Renovation - Cabinet Studio - Winston Salem After reviewing just about every Kitchen/Bath design service in our market we met Tim Nichols with the Cabinet Studio and knew immediately he was the perfect designer to work with on updating our 1893 Queen Anne Victoria. Tim is a skilled designer but his best gift is the ability to get inside the head of his client and bring our dreams and ideas to life. We had a very tricky layout of our kitchen and Tim's creativity helped us to uncover the perfect solution to place appliances and cabinets. With the kitchen done we had another massive job redesigning the entire layout of our master bath which hadn't been updated since the 1940's. Tim understood our budget and our design sense. He was always available to include weekends. I encourage anyone who needs a skilled but perceptive designer to call Tim.

I used Cabinet Studio last year to remodel my kitchen, and I have been so very happy with the results. I met with Tim Nichols, one of their designers, and instantly knew that Cabinet Studio, and Tim, were the kitchen designers that I wanted to use. Plus, it solidified my decision, when several of my friends, who had used Cabinet Studio, recommended them to me. Tim met several times with my husband and me to get a sense of our wants and needs in a new kitchen. Tim was wonderful to work with and had a great vision of what our new kitchen should look like. He helped us with the overall flow, and functionality of our existing space, as well as suggesting we remove walls between the breakfast room and kitchen. The end result was a beautiful kitchen that matched our personalities, and the character of our 1925 home. I just wish we had done it sooner!!

My husband and I are very pleased with the kitchen renovation planned and executed by the Cabinet Studio under direction of designer Tim Nichols. Tim did not impose his ideas on us, but guided us in discovering how to accomplish the style and theme that we had in mind. He provided practical suggestions and helped us to find sources for our choices of cabinets, appliances, fixtures, and decorative items. Our renovation was a complet tear out down to the wallboard. Tim worked very smoothly with the contractor and the subs and he was always available to discuss changes or decisions..

We purchased a house with large kitchen, but it didn't look very functional. Tim came and looked at our space and designed a useful change. We removed a kitchen desk, extended the counter and installed an ice maker, cabinet, and beverage center in that space. We had a large island installed with cabinets opening from both sides. Tim had the right idea with the size of island. He was easy to work with. We had a wonderful surprise - the cabinets could be installed two weeks earlier than planned due to a hole in the schedule - we were might pleased with that!

We had interviewed several kitchen designers before we met Michael Dugas. After our first meeting with Michael, it was clear that he was exceptional. He quietly listened. It was clear that he wanted to help us achieve the kitchen we wanted rather than the kitchen he thought we wanted. He had wonderful design ideas. He was helpful and supportive throughout the entire project. The kitchen turned out beautifully in large part because of Michael Dugas.

Mellissa Jessup at Cabinet Studio did a fantastic job designing my kitchen. I am not the easiest person to work with because I can't articulate what I envision. She kept changing her design until she got everything in that I wanted and always with a very pleasant attitude. I highly recommend cabinet studio, but in particular Mellissa Jessup.

Our designer, Michael Dugas, was the ultimate professional from our first meeting at the store until the job was completed. He came to our home to inspect the space and measure. He listened carefully to our thoughts, ideas, and preferences, then made some excellent suggestions. His drawings brought the project to life; modifications were not a problem. Michael helped with large and small details including precise measuring for custom cabinets to fit the space, design balance for symmetry, cool wavy glass for the doors, LED under cabinet lighting, crown molding and support and guidance with the hardware selection. When the cabinets arrived, he met with his installer in our kitchen to review all the design details. By the way, the installation was meticulous, done by Hector Rodriguez, a master carpenter who works closely with Michael. After the kitchen was installed, Michael returned several times to inspect the work and ensure our satisfaction. Michael also provided invaluable input on the selection of tile, paint, granite and wood flooring. He came, he saw, and he conquered. We love our new kitchen!

Everyone told us that doing a complete kitchen remodel would drive us crazy, but working with Tim at Cabinet Studios made the experience just the opposite. He sat down with us first to just listen to what we had in mind, and he completely understood our style. He came up with a great design complete with detailed drawings and was always available to us, including road trips. Nothing fazed him, even when the truck with our pantry caught fire or when it took us three tries to nail down our paint color! Our project was completed on time with no surprises. We were given great leeway in choosing our drawer and cabinet inserts within our agreed upon budget. Tim worked with our general contractor to include custom work where necessary (such as our utility closet and desk shelving). Tim assured my husband that there would be no hidden charges at the end of the project, and he lived up to that promise. Our kitchen is even more beautiful than we had imaged. We love it and highly recommend Tim and Cabinet Studio.

Tim Nichols was the designer who assisted me with a total bath remodel. After our initial meeting, he recommended local contractors and drew up a to-scale drawing for my approval. He lead me through all the decisions and did all the leg work for selecting bath fixtures, cabinets, tile, granite, paint color, and light fixtures. In addition, he assisted with fabric selection for adjoining bedroom and arranged for drapery to be made and installed. Tim was a delight to work with and quickly understood my goals for this project and aided me in completing this remodel. I am anxious to tackle another project within our home with his guidance.

I recently renovated our kitchen with the help of Cabinet Studio's brilliant and talented, Melissa Jessup. We moved into our home a year and half ago and quickly became frustrated with how completely not functional it was, not to mention just plain dull and ugly. However, Melissa saw the potential in the space and was able to pull together our vision AND exceed our expectations. I will be the first to admit that I am not easy to please. Melissa was able to present a sketch that was not only gorgeous, but so well thought out from a functional perspective that I actually have empty drawers now from her thoughtfulness. Melissa's artistic flair, her ability to bring to life your ideas, add finishing touches in the most elegant way, and flexibility will make you appreciate her many times over as you complete your space. I highly recommend her! I look forward to working with her on our next project.
