Jackie and Tina minimized construction costs by retaining most of original layout within the existing building envelope. They improved upon the building’s original design by introducing subtle changes to wall and window placements, creating living and storage space where it did not previously exist as well as new connections between indoors and out. During the design phase, Jackie and Tina listened carefully, helped us distill our personal taste, and integrated our ideas with their design expertise to customize each room. Throughout construction, they provided invaluable and trusted oversight. Jackie and Tina were onsite regularly to ensure that their design optimized functionality without ever compromising aesthetics. inHabit Architecture and Design did a complete redesign of my kitchen which included removing a large portion of a wall, and changing the flow of my house for the better. Upon request, Ms. Gusic provided numerous drawings, and explained the benefits of each. The thing that impressed me most was her presentation of the overall design in terms of a long-term strategy. The changes she suggested presented a very holistic view of living in our home as she considered things like sight lines, views, furniture placement, etc for the areas adjacent to the kitchen.
