Headed and managed "hands on" by Mr. Nelson, this firm provided excellent quality in workmanship, materials, and communication. My glass paned wooden french door assembly was destroyed by a vehicle collision and as the repair progressed, i realized I how lucky i was to have found California Design Wood Products in an online search to do the job. Mr. Nelson came to my place twice to photograph and get an exact evaluation of the damage, take exact measurements, and to discuss the repair approach in person. He promptly delivered a professional estimate to my insurance company which was readily accepted. Once that was settled, he built the new doors in his shop and delivered/installed them on time with no issues. From the first phone call with him to the last touch of the finisher's brush, I could not have asked for smoother, better quality workmanship, timeliness, or communication with me and my insurance company. California Design Wood Products returned my destroyed doors to their original condition with personable, efficient, top quality service; they are a company that I am happy to "have on-hand" for any project and i would not hesitate to call them again.

When we hired Ron Nelson and California Design we not only established a working relationship with an excellent contractor but we also made a good friend. California Design put in all new windows and sliders for us and then supervised a full patio remodel in the front and back of our home. It is a pleasure to write a review on the above business. This company, owned by Ron Nelson, has actually replaced all the windows in two different condos that we owned. This included a total of six sliding doors and 15 windows. They also extended an exterior wall and installed a side door in the garage. The staff are very skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. Ron Nelson was very easy to work with and had good suggestions. He has been in this business for several years and it shows. I would highly recommend this company for any project that they are able to do.
