I called the office inquiring about a build in Old Hickory, and Alex Gregg went above and beyond by sending me emails referring me to builders in our area. He was kind and didn’t have to help me, but he went out of his way on a Friday afternoon. Thank you Alex!!

In 2016 we purchaced 60 beautiful acres in middle TN. We interviewed 8 different local costom home builders. We chose Gregg and Rains because of their strong reputation for being on time, on budget, and easy to work with. Not only were they all of the above but they came in below budget and ahead of schedule allowing us to share our beautiful new homw for Christmas with our entire family. We have built homes in other parts of the country and never had such a great experience. We consider the entire Gregg and Rains group not only builders, but friends also.

My wife and I have always had the desire to build a custom home at least once in our lifetime. However, we both are very particular and very detail oriented and have always had the concern of who to trust could provide a high-quality result. We decided to go with Gregg and Rains after numerous consultative meetings because we could tell they had a team approach and each member of the 4-person team had talents and abilities that complimented the other members abilities. It was evident to us a lot of thought went into how the team was put together and the process they want each customer to experience. Another key to us was the quality of the sub-contractors they have that are committed and loyal to the Gregg & Rains standard of quality. They also have a software package that keeps track of all your selections, tracks your expenses along the way to help determine where you are within your budget and it helps everyone plan as you go through the various phases of the construction process. I would say we have such a high standard of expectations that we are often hard to please, but after going through the process and now living in the new house for 4 months, we couldn’t be more pleased. They treat the process as though they are building their own house and it is evident they take a great deal of pride in providing the highest results. Their standard of providing high quality results centered around a trusted team full of knowledge and expertise is unmatched in my opinion. We highly recommend them and would definitely want them representing us if we ever build again.

Gregg and Rains Building Group were outstanding. From our first meeting to the final walk-through, Alex, Jake, and the entire team were accessible and accommodating. After reviewing our plans, they made it clear that there was flexibility and that all communications would be open, accounted for, and documented. All the fears of building a custom home were eliminated by the kindness, understanding, and face to face meetings. There was never a minute when the status of our project was unknown whether it was the change orders, cost impact, or planned finishing date. When Kathy and I visit in other homes, we realize that the right decision was made when we chose Gregg and Rains.
