My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

Half Moon Stone Works specializes in all manner of stone property enhancements including patios, walks, stairs, walls (dry-laid or mortared) as well as natural and manufactured veneers. We are family owned and operated, experienced and insured. Taking pride in our timeless craft, we use traditional low-impact methods and maintain a work ethic that provides results only of the highest quality. Estimates are free and we have the ability to use plans provided or assist in the design process. We are currently serving north western Vermont, including Grand Isle, Chittenden, Franklin Counties and beyond. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or to set up an appointment.

The brothers were fantastic to work with. They showed up everyday in the hottest part of summer and worked hard and fast. They took a mid project change with great patience and integrated it beautifully. I would not hesitate to recommend Half Moon Stone Worksto my friends, and will be my stone guys in the future.

Great to work with, flexible, on time and on budget. We had some ideas, and some left over materials, but Half Moon put together the plans and made it happen. Very happy with the result and we recommend them without reservation.

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough! Quality work, creative work, and beautiful work. We have a small space that has been totally transformed into our little oasis thanks to the blue stone patio they did for us. So many people have commented how great it looks!

Could not be more pleased. Showed up when they said, kept to the schedule and agreed price. Installation was perfection itself as was the cleanup at the end of the project. Will be contacting them next Spring for addition stone work.

Responded to my initial inquiry almost immediately, on a holiday weekend. Scheduled time within the week for a free estimate, and made fast work of the project once started. Got our beautiful stone step and front path in 3 days, with cleanup and sod laid included. We are so happy with the project, and the investment in that front feature raises the curb appeal of our home significantly both for us to enjoy and as a selling pointing in the future. Highly recommend!!

We have had many compliments on our walkway. Half Moon designed the project, found the stones and laid down in a timely fashion a really nice looking walk to our front door. We are very pleased.

The cobblestone walkway was installed as agreed and looks beautiful. The guys installed the stone earlier than expected and stayed on the job until it was complete. They worked during the hottest weather of the summer even though hand digging was required. We would not hesitate to hire them again. Great experience!

They are responsive with estimates and scheduling and follow up after completion to ensure that everything is satisfactory. These guys do great work. Last year they rebuilt our front steps and suggested adding stone facing which dramatically improved our house. We had them come back this year to add a stone walk. Not only do these improvements look good, but with the level surfaces and handrail we also now have a much more accessible house. I highly r ed commend them for great work at a fair price the price range below includes both jobs.

We absolutely love the stone wall and walkway this company made for us: Truly professional. We explored many different companies and after viewing some of the prior projects created by HMSW, found this to be the best by far and most reasonable. Our project was fairly large and somewhat complicated as it had to match the existing building and function as insulation and drain. Clearly, in this project, form had to follow function. I would recommend this company to anyone who appreciates artistic hardscape.
