We had issues with the timeline and some of the quality of the work but the project was ultimately finished on budget.

James came out to my home, appeared to take measurements for a kitchen remodel, and I was expecting a bid. I never heard back from him. Never called, never emailed, never said he wasn't interested, never said he was too busy. He never responded to my text message. I find that completely unprofessional.... Ghosted by the contractor??

Ms. Segura - I do apologize for not getting the estimate back to you or responding to your text. However, I did in fact tell you we are very busy, and booked out until at least November. I received a text message from you less then 2 days after we met, and unfortunately time got away from me and I've had several other estimates to put together before yours. Once again, my sincere apologies.

James and his team did a great job remodeling an old house that had been a rental for years, transforming it into our cozy home. Remodeling this 93 year old house presented some unique problems that James and his team solved with thoroughness and creativity. They stayed on top of permits and ensured they all passed. Their communication was excellent throughout and we’ve recommended them to family and friends without hesitation.

Had James come out in early September to give me a estimate on a home addition. Gave him a printout of architect plans. James said he would get back to me with some numbers after speaking to his HVAC guy the next week. He did not. I called he said he would get back the next week. Never heard from him.

I met with Mr. Abad on Sept. 5, 2018 to look at an addition he wants to add onto the back of his home, at that time he had a rough drawing of the addition. I told him it would take me a couple of weeks to put something together for him because we are very busy right now. On Sept. 12, 2018 Mr. Abad sent me an actual rendering of the floor plan and elevations for the addition, and although ideally I would have liked to have gotten an estimate to Mr. Abad sooner it took a little longer than I anticipated to put something together for him, and I apologize for that.

James is an absolute pleasure to work with. I had a specific thing in mind for my bathrooms at my home and he made my vision a reality. I had the pleasure of having his team also do a lot of work on the property I bought for my business. They did a fantastic job! Great workmanship and James is very easy to talk to. His crew was extremely respectful of my homes. They cleaned up ever day, protected my floors, and cleaned up very well after the job was done. Both jobs were also completed quickly. One of his crewmembers also offered to bring back lunch for me while I was working from home! No other crew would ever do that for a customer. Very kind people.

James and his crew did a basement bathroom remodel and installed a new deck. His price was very fair for the work done. I chose Affordable Remodeling out of 12 bids because his followup showed me he was very interested in the work but never made me feel pressured. His crew was very respectful of my home and family who were on summer vacation. They are very nice guys. The job was completed very professionally. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations. The crew made suggestions to improve the initial plan when necessary and in each case the suggestion made the job even better. The job was done at the quoted price and the only add-ons were due to me wanting extra work. I could not be happier with this job. I would recommend James and his crew to anyone one looking for remodel work.
