Chris and his team at McDonald Remodeling absolutely crushed the full remodel of one of our properties! From the very beginning, Chris was incredibly organized, had a solid timeline in place, and kept everything moving smoothly and on schedule. The whole process was refreshingly stress-free. The quality of the work was outstanding. You can immediately tell this team knows what they’re doing—the craftsmanship was top-tier, with incredible attention to detail throughout. Every little thing was done right, and nothing was overlooked. On top of all that, Chris is just an awesome, down-to-earth guy who takes real pride in his work. He genuinely cares about his clients and goes above and beyond in both service and quality. We’re beyond happy with the final result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend McDonald Remodeling to anyone looking for a high-quality, dependable remodel!

This is our 5th time using McDonald Remodeling to upgrade, remodel and/or add to our existing home. We have done this through the years due to their quality craftsmanship, honesty, accountability, fantastic organization and wonderful communication with us that started well before construction began and continued through out the process. The Project Manager and Carpenter Lead were always available and responded very quickly to any concerns or questions we had. The interior designers were excellent. They led us through each choice and decision with great care and patience. We were never overwhelmed nor did we feel pressured. Again, they were always available and ready to help and advise. We highly recommend McDonald Remodeling.

I'm aware that this company is well thought of. However I spent a considerable money and time (McDonald charges $1,000 to do an estimate) with McDonald. At a meeting with McDonald's in their offices to review their plans, I asked Todd Bjerstedt for a non-binding estimate. Todd said about $20,000 with myself, my wife, and my friend Andrew, who knows construction, I paid the $1000. When I got the formal estimate, after I paid $1,000, the estimate was $54,000. Stunned, I called Todd. Todd told me he estimated $50,000 at the meeting--- contrary to the memories of myself, my wife and Andrew. Three other contractors estimated in the $19,000 to $24,000 range. Todd claim the three other companies didn't know what they were doing. Be careful.

McDonald Remodeling has earned our highest possible recommendation. From beginning to end, they were extremely professional and personable. They provided plenty of great ideas for our remodeling project, but also listened carefully to our input as well...making it feel like a true collaboration. We were particularly impressed with McDonald's detailed timeline, their ability to stick to it, and the open lines of communication throughout the project. All of the people we dealt with from top down made the process very easy. McDonald did exactly what they said they would do, and the project turned out better than we imagined. From the time we entered the McDonald office to the time the cleaning gal cleaned through the remodel area in our home and left, we received professional, quality and individualized service. Our master bath gutted and redone with no tub and more shower, heated tile floor and custom alder wood cabinets. We also took out the little bi fold door closet by our back entry and put in cubbies and a bench. We had great communication with the designers, foreman, and each trade subcontractor that worked on the project. Each worked with excellence taking pride in their work. McDonald has chosen skilled craftsman to work on their team and it shows. Our remodel will enhance our lifestyle and enjoyment of our home.

At the first meeting with Jim McDonald we were impressed by his experience, friendliness, and vision to transform the kitchen and dining area of our 1910s house. He accepted all the input we had into the design but we mostly let the professionals lead the way and we couldn't be happier with the result. The project was completed on time and on budget with very few surprises. We are so grateful to have found McDonald remodeling and plan to hire them again in the future.

We needed a master bath remodel as our bathroom was about 25+ years old and it was time to get rid of the rosy pink and bring it into this century. Everything went wonderfully. We hired this company on June 21st and then worked with their wonderful designers Tamra and Susan to make our selections in all of the materials. Everyone was professional and very easy to work with. Our job began the end of September and Chris kept everyone working in sync and kept us informed on the progress with weekly updates. They provided us with a binder that showed when each portion of the work would be done which we looked at frequently. We ran into a bump in the progress with the tub we selected, but they quickly solved that problem. Tile work and everything turned out beautiful, and we were very pleased that we hired this contractor. Even Lori (the woman who came to clean in the end) was great. Wished I could have kept her, but it isn't in the cards. I hope some day to have the smaller bath remodeled, and I would definitely hire this company for that job as well.

We worked with McDonald remodeling on a complete overhaul of our kitchen and basement. Our 1920s English Tudor house had great bones, but the floor plan needed to be reimagined entirely. McDonald Remodeling not only listened to what we needed from our living space, they improved upon our vision for a finished product that went above and beyond our expectations. We truly love our home.The entire McDonald crew was friendly, helpful, communicative, and clean. Our neighbors remarked how nice they were to have in the neighborhood. The quality of the construction and cabinetry ensured our investment in this property was worth every penny. I had a great experience with this company from the initial project review/estimate for a total bathroom remodel through the completion of the last detail. They were upfront with costs, they had a daily schedule of what would be worked on, and what contracting company would be there. They were respectful of our home, covering areas of construction traffic, and always left everything clean at the end of each day. The designer was a tremendous help in making selections, while keeping within budget. Never felt pressure to spend more than I could afford. Would highly recommend this company to anyone considering a renovation project.
