Chateau Construction worked with us from the design phase through final with courtesy, great communication, and ease. Our project was an addition/remodel on a 1926 home where we were intent on preserving the original style and feel. They patiently guided us through each design element and achieved the perfect outcome. They met the challenges of working in an older home with expert ideas and superb craftsmanship. We were able to live in the house throughout the process and were even encouraged to take two trips. They kept us apprised every step of the way via email/text/photos. The crew left the site clean after every day and were very respectful of our neighbors. We can highly recommend them!

We used Chateau Construction to remodel our Master Bath in our 104 year old farmhouse. It was the best experience we've had in our many remodeling efforts. The project began and ended on time. The preparations to seal off the dust and debris from the rest of the house worked exceptionally well. Questions that arose with different design elements were quickly identified, and several options were given for solutions. Our wishes were accommodated even when it meant changes in scheduling. Chateau Construction and all the sub-contractors were easy to work with, and everyone took pride in their work. it was almost effortless on our part, and we get to enjoy our new bathroom everyday.

The Chateau Company, led by Dan Bainbridge, had only the highest standards for every single step of our construction. The coordination, the timing, the cooperation all came together to produce a home of highest quality, that we are enjoying every single day. Projects such as this only can succeed with great team effort and true sincerity, which is the core of Chateau. We could not have had a better experience with any other construction company.

Chateau built the 900 square foot addition to our house. Everyone handled their job extremely professionally. Dan worked with us closely with the scope of the project and allowed us to do much of the finish work and work directly with the electrical, plumbing and tile sub-contractors. A great experience.

We've had two whole house remodels done by Chateau Construction and LOVED both experiences. The first was in 2006-2007 and turned out so well we didn't hesitate to have them do a second house remodel in 2011-12. The owner, Dan Bainbridge, his site supervisors, in-house crew and sub-contractors are all great guys who put in all the hard work for a top-notch result. They've worked together over so many years so they communicate and plan ahead for each other jobs. My neighbor grew up in a family construction business and said she knew they were a first rate team in the first fifteen minutes by just listening to their chatter over the fence. She said their tone was friendly and respectful with playful joking around -- sure signs they got along and that the construction would go smoothly. She was right. Dan's quality and attention to detail is sky high -- on the first remodel the sheet rock texture sub-contractor did a sub-par finish so Dan insisted they redo it at their expense. Early in the remodel he noticed a support post was in front of the planned kitchen picture window. I asked the architect to remove it but their engineer said no, it was load bearing. But Dan disagreed and pushed them to figure out a way to remove it, which resulted in a beautiful view. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed both remodels and had no stress levels since Chateau took care of the big things and little things. I've heard how construction projects can strain relationships but I can't imagine that happening with Chateau involved. They have years of collective experience and know what they are doing so I don't have to worry. I highly recommend them without any reservations.

We have an original 1925 hillside home that was untouched since 1935. Our goal was to restore this home and modernize infrastructure (it was on orig septic, knob/tube wiring and all orig plumbing), while respecting its past. We interviewed 3 other contractors & Dan easily was the only choice. Please read the other reviews (like "bigforkbella") and a pattern is clear: Dan, his crew and all the subs are reliable, honest, respectful and care about detail. This extends to your time, money and care of personal space (we lived in the home during the second phase that included a new roof and it was not painful thanks to everyone's thoughtfulness). This company cares about the details you cannot see when a project is done but that matter when one hangs wallpaper on a smooth, now straight 1925 framed wall or when the next earthquake comes. We look forward to this Spanish Revival gem living beyond another 90 years thanks to Chateau Construction and all involved with the project.

We have a small ranch-style house. Dan has done two remodels for us in the past ten years. We are very happy and would hire Dan Bainbridge again in a heartbeat. The first remodel was ten years ago - the kitchen and living room. We had two younger children and lived n the house while the construction went on. This was our experience: 1) the workers built a dust-wall in order to shield the rest of the house from the inevitable dust which happens, especially at demolition 2) the workers cleaned up inside and outside the house at the end of every single day 3) they never played loud music and there was no cursing - very nice if you are living amidst the construction! Ten years later, Dan just recently finished a remodel of our tiny master bath. (the cost range indicated is for this project) We found that he had many of the same employees and we had the same positive experience as before. Dan's attention to detail is wonderful, his taste is impeccable (so handy if you are trying to decide between two fixtures for a bathroom), and he is always mindful of the budget. His employees and subs do outstanding work. Finally, he is a calm and reasonable person who is a delight to do business with.

Chateau Construction has remodeled our home three times over the past 20 years: kitchen/living room, then master bedroom/baths, and finally another complete kitchen remodel a few years ago.
