We highly recommend Fordham Marble - they will not disappoint! Mayson and Jackie were both amazing and their attention to detail, knowledge, and level of customer service are unmatched. We were in the process of remodeling our kitchen and came to Fordham Marble to pick out countertops. We weren't sure what material we wanted and were not well educated on the options. Mayson was great - he was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the pros and cons of each, and was very patient with us when we returned multiple times because we couldn't make a decision. He also recommended great places to eat lunch in the area and even treated us to a delicious meal. When we experienced numerous delays with our kitchen cabinets, Mayson and Jackie were great about rescheduling the installation numerous times, and were even able to get us in at the last minute to install our countertops right before Christmas so we could use our kitchen sink for the holiday, which we had been previously unable to do. Even though our cabinets were still not fully installed, we were able to entertain during the holiday thanks to them. The installation process was also wonderful and couldn't have gone more smoothly. While we had an awful experience with our kitchen contractor, we couldn't have had a more amazing experience start to finish with Fordham Marble. The countertops look absolutely beautiful, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you so much Mayson and Jackie!

Consummate professionalism and service. From the first visit to the showroom, they helped us with our choices. Honest feedback and no 'hard sell.' They listened to what we were looking for and then guided us to a wide range of choices. Once we settled on a selection, the details (finish, edges, etc.) were all reviewed. Measurements, delivery and installation on schedule. I would use them again without question.

We were guided through the selection process for new countertops for our kitchen by true professionals who worked to understand what result we wanted. The quartz that we selected is top quality. Every step of the process was completed by precise experts from the template professional to the installation crew. We could not be happier with the exemplary results. Our kitchen is now state of the art. Along with Mayson, his staff on site is focused, prompt in response to questions, and assisted in getting the work done with perfection. The cost is competitive. In a retail world seemingly fraught with endless disappointment, I feel joyfully compelled to share our exceptional kitchen renovation experience! A paradox you say? No, I tell you truly, if you are looking for excellent customer service, fair pricing, impeccable craftsmanship, quality marble, quartzite, quartz, and/or granite and would like to re-live the feeling of a kid in a candy store, then take a ride to Fordham Marble! Fordham Marble in Stamford, CT is brimming with a plethora of beautiful natural and man-made stones and tile in every shade imaginable. Walking into the showroom we were greeted with warmth and escorted into a wonderland of materials. The cache might have been dizzying except for the fact that the displays are meticulously and beautifully organized by color and materials. The samples are good-sized and the entire layout provided a user-friendly navigation for the selection process. But here comes the critical part. My husband (a licensed architect) and I (a person who has renovated more times “than is fun”) have a deep appreciation for true craftsmanship and this component proved to be an incomparable element in our overall experience. Mayson (yes, his actual name :) was our creative salesperson whose discerning eye added the perfect finishing touch to our project plan. Mario, the skilled artisan, not only measured with laser precision but shared his decades-long experience and guided us in our final detail choices. Lou, Dimitri, Elias, and Ray executed the delicate patterning and installation flawlessly. The icing on this proverbial cake is not only had we received truly remarkable customer service, but we were met with genuine, and I mean genuine kindness and sincerity from every single person we dealt with on the Fordham Marble Team. Not only did the project turn out beautifully, but the journey was also a pleasure. No, we are not related to any of these folks in any way, we are just feeling that, particularly these days, it is nice to have good news to share!

Highly recommend! Beautiful stone, fabrication and installation for many projects over 20 year span. Most recent project has a beautiful slab marble wall and huge kitchen island with waterfall. Also completed a 12,000 sq ft custom build in Caribbean, limestone flooring throughout, custom curved staircase, required shipping overseas...with no breakage. Highest attention to all details of design, fabrication, install and shipping.

We chose this company because they had beautiful stone for our kitchen at a really great price. We decided to do a quartzite countertop because, as we were told, it would be very low maintenance and sturdy. We took a sample of the stone, tried to etch it, did an acid test, and even had it independently confirmed that it was indeed quartzite(sometimes stone sold as quartzite is not actually quartzite, so this was important). Our entire kitchen look was based around the look of the quartzite we selected from Fordham. At first we noticed staining on the stone itself. We were very confused, because the first stains were not in areas of our island we had even used yet. Then the area of the stone right around the stove became covered with grease stains from normal cooking. We contacted Fordham and they told us it needed a different sealant, something that was not offered before the stone was installed. They sent someone out to look at the stone, he put some stuff on a couple of the "larger" problem areas, which was supposed to remove the stains. Not only did it not work, it actually made the staining worse. Since they came to "fix" the problem, they have not responded to any of our emails. We were able to get them on the phone once, and we were told they were sending someone out that week; that was 6 weeks ago. At this point, we will likely have to hire another company to try to fix the issue, if it’s even solvable. This is extremely disappointing, and we cannot recommend them.

Fordham Marble has a beautiful inventory of grey and white marble and quartzite slabs. We met with Joyce Sardo, Kitchen & Bath Designer. Joyce is very professional and knowledgeable. She quickly understood our kitchen design plans and recommended several quartzite stone options. We selected a Mont Blanc quartzite for our kitchen counter top, pictures attached. We purchased the entire slab, as it was reasonably priced, and are planning to use the remaining slab for our bathroom counter top. We also met with Lou, the shop foreman. Lou is very experienced. The quality of his work, shop drawings, fabrication and installation was excellent. Our entire experience from purchase to installation was top notch.
