In relocating back to Salem and looking to purchase a home, we focused on Kaufman built houses. We looked at other houses as well, but none of them matched the build quality that we experienced when walking through houses built by the Kaufman brothers. We happily ended up in a Kaufman house that was built in 1986. We LOVE the house and are currently trying to undue the years of damage and neglect imposed on it by the former owner. We imagine being in this house for a very long time and are grateful to the Kaufmans and their team for the loving craftsmanship and heart with which they built our home.

We lost our home to a fire in June 2014. We hired Kaufman Homes to restore and rebuild our house. It was a gutted mess when they begin the job, but when they were finished it was really beautiful. They we professional and really did all they could to not only meet our expectations, but to also finish the house as quickly as possible. They got us back into our house in time for Christmas, which really meant a lot to our daughter. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Commented: barn doorsOur finish crew custom made them with T&G cedar. I believe they are 42" x7'-6" doors, although I am not certain about that. Thanks for the compliment!

Commented: Are cabinets above washer/dryer full depth?You can build them either way. I believe these were full depth for storage of craft containers.

Commented: How do you get the units flush against the wall?They are behind the unit but there is a second set of valves up in the cupboard above for easy access to shut of for "vacation mode". We no longer do this and instead use Flood Stop valves....
