Kitchen Doctors

We had a very positive experience with Kitchen Doctors. Grace listened to my design idea suggestion (we had a very small and awkward space). She provided a plan for my vision and set everything in motion. The company was very detailed with our timeline. They were booked months out, but when our start date arrived, they were there dismantling the old kitchen. We love our new kitchen. The colors, cabinets, everything. I wish they designed bathrooms, because we would use them to remodel our master bathroom. They stuck to the timeline and everything was done in 3 weeks (remember, we have a small footprint, and we kept our appliances).

I contacted Kitchen Doctors to some work in my home. We wanted to do a cabinet refacing, granite counter tops kitchen & bath as well as a back splash and new plumbing fixtures throughout. From the initial contact to the final inspection the Team at Kitchen Doctors were helpful in every way. Jim, the owner, was knowledgeable in every aspect of the business without exception. Jim was a welcome guest in our home each and every time he came. He not only helped with suggestions, but he also personally made an appearance throughout the procedure and even spent time working on the job himself. Every employee of KD’s who entered our home was obviously a craftsman and professional. Special thanks to the Project Coordinator Miranda. Miranda knows everything there is to know about home renovations. Here ability to manage the complex coordination of multiple jobs and materials is only matched by her extreme competence and confidence. Miranda’s professionalism and dedication exemplifies the standards and traditions of the service industry. If I was not semi-retired, I would have tried to steal her from Jim. I cannot only recommend Kitchen Doctor’s for anyone who is looking to upgrade their home you can be sure I will contact them again for some further work that my lovely and gracious wife are contemplating. We had a great experience with Kitchen Doctors! Ours was mostly a reface project plus installation of two new pantry cabinets and rollouts in all of the base cabinets. (We kept our hardwood floor and granite countertop, and handled plumbing and lighting changes ourselves.) Our one-man KD crew finished it all in 5 days plus 1 wrap-up day to take care of some minor issues. I was impressed that KD ordered replacements for 2 damaged cabinet doors before I had even noticed! The refaced cabinets look wonderful, like new, and such a welcome change from the old painted-over knotty pine with exposed hinges. Kitchen Doctors was so easy to work with and the price was very reasonable. Every day my husband and I say "We love our kitchen!"

I went from wanting to reface my kitchen cabinets to wanting a full kitchen remodel. I was on the verge of choosing a big box store when I discovered Kitchen Doctors. After reading reviews and meeting the owner Jim, I decided to go with Kitchen Doctors. I would not have my tall, dark and elegant cabinets (love the rich Cherry Java finish and the 750F door style from Waypoint); I would not have discovered the gorgeous backsplash tile from Mosaic Tile; I would not have found the Cashmere Carrara quartz counter tops from Classic Marble and Granite; I would not have known about Mannington luxury vinyl tile flooring; I would not have went looking for a hood to replace my chunky microwave and found a low profile microwave/hood; I would not have gotten the lighting which changed the whole dynamic of my kitchen and took it to another level; and I would not have the kitchen I LOVE now without Kitchen Doctors! Thanks to Jim for steering me in the right direction - a lot of the choices I made were the result of listening to you. Thanks to Miranda for keeping the project on schedule and explaining what was going on along the way. Thanks to Laura for filling in and troubleshooting. Thanks to Patric - the amazing field manager who literally did the heavy lifting! Thanks to Derrek for being there at the beginning and adding the finishing touches. Thanks to Hunter for helping with the demo. The subcontractors did excellent work as well and I will be using them again for future projects. I ventured outside the "big box" for my kitchen remodel and it was a hassle-free experience. No regrets!

Kitchen Doctors surpassed every expectation and delivered on every promise. Jim asked questions and studied my Pinterest boards to understand my wish list. We talked about budget and expectations, and then he presented us with his vision to transform our cramped and outdated kitchen into more than I ever imagined possible. Communication was great during construction. Every afternoon I received an email from Miranda to make sure everything that happened that day was satisfactory and to confirm the next step – who would be arriving, what they were supposed to do, and a phone number in case I needed to call them. The contractors they sent were fantastic. They were all very friendly, respectful of my home, and each did a great job – even cleaning up after they left. The best of the best was Patrick, the field manager and all around great guy. I’m sure there are equally skilled cabinet installers, but Patrick took such pride to make sure everything was perfect. He is a true artisan; a magician with wood. I still marvel at the way he perfectly joined existing crown molding to the new crown on the cabinets. No big project is complete without a hiccup or two, but even when it was my fault, Kitchen Doctors went out of their way to keep everything moving forward. Always more than fair, their customer service is second to none. I love my new kitchen and dining room. Thank you, Jim, Patrick, and Miranda!

All I can say is "Wow!" Kitchen Doctors did a fabulous job refacing my kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities! I initially met with Laura who came to that first appointment armed with cabinet samples, brochures and answers to many of my questions. At our next meeting Jim, the owner of the company, came with Laura. After answering additional questions, he took precise measurements of all of the cabinets and vanities that would be refaced. We completed a contract that outlined all of the details of the project including the total cost and the estimated completion date. About six weeks later my custom doors and finishes arrived in their showroom and Laura called to set up the installation date. Jim, along with two of his installers, arrived right on time and completed the project in two days cleaning up at the end of each day! Laura even coordinated the installation of my backsplash! Jim and Laura made sure that I was thoroughly pleased with the job before I made my final payment. My new white cabinets are gorgeous! I absolutely love the new look of my kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen Doctors did a great job for us. Jim and the staff are very responsive. Timeline for kitchen re-do was exact. No add on costs. All subs good, on time and polite. Our re-do was hassle free. We would give Kitchen Doctors an A+.

We were happy with the layout of our 21 year old kitchen but it really needed an update.We had replaced the countertop a few years ago so we didn’t want to rip out the cabinets and lose the countertop. Kitchen Doctors process is to cover the existing boxes and replace the doors and hardware we were able to keep the countertop. We are so happy with our new kitchen .Everyone at kitchen doctors was easy to work with and had great design ideas. I choose white kitchen cabinets but their were many styles to choose from It took about 3 days for our kitchen to be transformed and we are happy with the results Colleen and Larry Coningsby Mechanicsville Va.

I cannot give Kitchen Doctors enough raves! They have now done 3 of the 6 houses on our block-we recommend them to everyone! We did an entire kitchen/dining remodel, our downstairs bath, and widened an entry, redid all floors, and added lighting in our living room. We got quotes for up to 80K to do this, and Kitchen Doctors exceeded our expectations at less than half of that price! They are super hand-on, answering emails and calls within 24 hours. Laura even talked me through the cutting of our quartz countertop while I was miles away in California! Jim is a problem solver-we encountered a pipe that couldn't be moved, and he changed our cabinet size, and Patrick handcrafted a shelf to make it look like the whole thing was planned! They were open to things they hadn't done before (we built in a kegerator) and they trimmed it out, drilled the countertop hole, like it was something they did weekly. I think I say "I love this kitchen" to my husband daily, and our renovation happened over 6 months ago! I cannot give them enough accolades--they are WONDERFUL!

I am extremely happy with my kitchen remodel. Kitchen Doctors made the entire process easy and enjoyable. They offered some terrific ideas, 3D drawings, along with professional and courteous staff and installers.

I purchased my home in November of 2014, and knew right away that I needed to update my kitchen. I met with a few different people, but I had an instant connection with Laura and decided to do my upgrades with Kitchen Drs. I was very excited to start the process with them! I had my bathroom AND kitchen cabinets refaced to white, (bye bye 1984 lamiate!), had my backsplash done in my kitchen by their recommendation, and new counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms with CGM. I could NOT have been happier with the results! I get compliments from everyone that comes over and I highly recommend using them. As a first time home buyer and this being my first home project, they far exceeded my expectations! If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!! :)
