Stainless Cable and Rails is a quality company who stands behind their products. They did me a real soid by with the product I purchased. After installation, years later I had an issue with the posts as a result of corrosion. My product was still under warranty which they acknowledged and expended all the energies and efforts to resolve without complexity. I appreciate them standing by their product. We were entirely happy with service & quality of product until we noticed some serious defects in the painted finish. Upon making the salesforce aware of this defect things transcended rapidly. Excuses , denials & then silence, we have NO IDEA now if they will be addressing the serious quality issues . We are not preparing to stop payment/ file a dispute with our CC company.

Assistance up front was awesome, I had plenty of questions and worked out a way to do a will-call rather than spend $1k+ for shipping around 2 hours north of their home base. I went a little off script and did the layout and piece count myself and submitted my order via a "shopping cart" online. First, there were ZERO mistakes on my order. Every piece that was on my list was accounted for and placed in the boxes. Second, be prepared and add pieces with your quantity count if you go this route. If you need 96 pieces of something, they will break open a full 100 count box to take 4 pieces out since you didn't pay for it. If you're the kind of person to lose pieces, please account for this to save yourself some headache. Third, a couple of my cables were wound with kinks in the line once unboxing. Luckily where these kinks are they are mainly hidden from view, plus the defects were way less noticeable once torqueing the cable down. Another small issue was the securement nuts, one out of 155 were able to easily get a wrench or socket on. They others were rounded and I actually had to grind open a 10mm wrench to even get grip on the nut. Added hours to the install. Fourth, there was an issue with my second purchase where I did not contact customer service prior to purchasing. I received extra pieces, that I did not order but was charged for as they assumed I needed these pieces. In the first order these pieces were not included so I'm taking a 50/50 responsibility on this as I didn't explicitly list what I needed. No harm no foul, just a couple dozen bucks out of my pocket. Cables look great and I've priced around with a "pro" to install about 150' of railing and over $300/ft is a going rate in 2022. With SCR my all-in cost was 18% that and a weekend's worth of power tools and some mind power! Can't say enough about the ease and how absolutely gorgeous my deck looks now!

I rebuilt a shared family house on Cape Cod several years ago. It had a long deck that overlooked a salt marsh with a distant view of the ocean. It was important to not take away the view from the deck as well as inside looking out past the deck. I did some research as to what type of railing I wanted. I needed to ensure it kept the view open and was simple without a lot of distraction as well as stand up to the salty air. I contacted SC&R to discuss the various options. I purchased one of the cable systems and was welcomed to have my deck rail plans reviewed with sketched requirements on cable placement, etc. I needed a simple look for this architecture. The deck cable rails worked very nicely for both my ethical and functional needs. The Deck itself is comprised of mahogany wood. The rails were 4x4 posts with a simple 2x6 cap. The cables did not detract strung between the posts. I also like that the cables did not impede the view of my house since I can see my large low windows & French door from the street. I also came up with an idea that everyone seems to comment on how they liked such: I added traditional balusters on the side rails to keep privacy from the street & neighbor but the main deck rail had the cables. I had this in place for 2 seasons so am overall pleased with the quality of the product. What made the difference was that SC&R was very helpful for both pre & post sale regarding any questions that arise. I was welcomed every time I contacted them and was left very satisfied each & every dialog (a rarity these days). Overall, SC&R’s service & support are excellent and have told many neighbors that appreciated my deck.

I submitted a plan of my exiting deck. Within a day I received a suggested plan to move forward and complete the deck with the cable system. We double checked everything and a few weeks later received all the equipment I needed. I was sure i was going to be short something, that it was too easy so far. But it all went so well, I had everything I needed right to the end. Great company to work with. The quality is beyond excellent. Not sure what they could do to improve anything.

Started out a bit skeptical about ordering the interior railing for our new home and am now proud and pleased with the outcome! First class materials, design and follow-up.

I replaced a wood rail with the stainless cable & aluminum posts. I sent SCR a schematic of my deck with what I wanted and they put together what I needed. I had everything I needed and installed it myself (with help from the boyfriend ;). My deck is over 50', two levels, and lots of angles. I was very happy with the instructions and how the system went together. I LOVE MY RAILING!! I ran out of (ok, lost) some parts and it was easy to order what I needed - they even threw in a couple of freebies. Great experience and I would/do recommend them to everyone!

I live in Scotland and recently completed a hardwood deck with stainless wire balustrade. I decided it would look a lot more aesthetically pleasing if the holes in the newel posts had stainless steel hole protectors/trim. The items I envisaged were not available in the UK but after a global search I found exactly what I needed in Canada, courtesy of Stainless Cable and Railing. Ordering and payment was straightforward and delivery across half the world surprisingly quick. Despite the unreasonable UK customs charge the protectors were good value and look the part. Designed my own and bought all my parts at SC&R. Worked perfectly and as advertised. My brother liked my deck railing so much I sent him the link and he got all his parts from SC&R as well.

After scanning several sites I recently placed an order with SCR then received a call a few days later. They said their web site made a mistake on shipping. After making adjustments they made a extra charge on my credit card with out my approval. When I received the order they sent galvanized bolts instead of stainless, steel post instead of aluminum as it clearly says on my receipt. I would suggest placing your order with another company.

recently the coast guard mandated some modifications to the specifications for railings on charter boats for sightseeing/cruising (not fishing) that required 4" spacing. before i started work on our project, like most people i did some diligent research into companies dealing in the type of product we were looking for. the web site for Stainless Cable & Railing, Inc. was excellent, easy to navigate, and very informative. they had the best selection and pricing and when i made contact with them they were very helpful and accommodating. because of time constraints and because they were close enough i decided to pick up the product and tools (swage press and cable cutter) at their shop. when i arrived our package was ready and i was treated very professionally.

We hired them to provide stainless steel railing materials for my custom deck railing project. They were professional, fairly priced and even showed me ways to more efficiently build my railing. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
