I had been calling everywhere, we kept getting turned down due to the amount of work, a unique situation, and the budget I was working with. Freddy called me back right away, I explained our budget, and situation. He didn’t just take on the job with a already full schedule, but they offered to help my family, and really worked with the budget we had. He really went above and beyond every time we talked, and in everything he did for us. He and this company are truly a blessing to our community! He was with us every step of the way, and further. We will always come here for our needs. Why look somewhere else when you are really treated with true genuine empathy, concern, and treated as family. Monarch Development and Design is the prefect name for this group. What we originally thought would be a kitchen redo and a pantry add on turned into a complete renovation and the guidance, understanding, suggestions and follow up to this incredibly timely project could not have been more appreciated. From structural questions when installing bifold doors, to how to best incorporate built ins for maximum seating and storage, to roofing issues when skylights were desired, to simple things like tile/grout color and paint choices there wasn't a question that couldn't be answered and all the responses and suggestions turned out to be not only correct but loved once instigated. Our project had numerous add ons all costs were clearly explained and detailed. From start to finish it took only 7months to completely redo a kitchen, 5 bathrooms, all new floors, new widows, new aircon/heating system, paint inside and out, create a pantry, and build an entire barbq and entertainment area outside. WOW! The follow up needed as things often require adjusting has been prompt, timely and requests met ASAP. We are looking forward to another project with this incredible company.

True professionals! They transformed our home from a beaten down wreck into a masterpiece. They took it down to the studs, added square footage and made the process painless. They also have stayed with us to help with punch lists post construction. They started as our builders and are now our friends.

Monarch Development & Design is top notch. I live in LA and purchased a new town home, which needed to be gutted, in Laguna Beach. Having worked with several "difficult" contractors on my LA house, I was anxious getting into business with yet another contractor. (Monarch was recommended by a neighbor of my new property.) From the beginning, I felt that Darrin and Kim were on "my side". They were easily accessible, professional but relaxed, and sensitive to budgetary concerns. Darrin has a fantastic creative eye and Kim is a terrific problem solver. When issues did pop up, I could easily get stressed out, but Darrin and Kim were quick with solutions to even the toughest problems. They both really listened to me and delivered on all levels. My project came in within budget and on-time. More importantly, I want to praise Monarch for their terrific follow-through. Unlike other contractors who might disappear after the job is over, I'm STILL IN TOUCH with Monarch. Even though they were fully paid months ago, Monarch has been true to their word in fixing even the smallest, post-construction, problems. For example, I recently noticed that a door wasn't shutting properly and crown molding had separated, probably due to settling. I called Briana, the office manager, who cheerfully told me that Monarch would fix the issues. (For me, this type of follow-through separates Monarch from other companies.) Also, I recommend using Monarch to purchase you appliances and fixtures. Their small mark-up is well worth it! In my case, I received a shower fixture with a peeling finish. Also, a fridge has a defective ice maker. Briana is personally taking care of these problems so that I don't have to worry about anything. In addition, Briana has great relationships with local vendors and made sure I got a good deal as well as appropriate attention from the salespeople. I strongly recommend Monarch.

Monarch Development and Design. We used this firm for an extensive, down to the studs remodel. We compared their pricing with two additional firms and made sure all items were comparable. Monarch performed the job in a timely, professional basis. No cost overruns were experienced. An added benefit was their knowledge of design which allowed us to make improvements during the process. We would use them again.

Monarch development, did an outstanding job on our remodel. They were very creative, and worked extremely well with us even when we were unsure. They were also very reasonable regarding costs. People who see our house always ask "who did the work" and I proudly give them Monarch's contact info. They especially worked well with me,and that isn't an easy task. I'm a former commercial General Contractor, so I can be pretty demanding! That said, they completed the job on time and on budget. There's not a lot of Contractors I would recommend to a friend, but I wouldn't hesitate recommending Kim Holland and the whole gang at Monarch Development and Design. They were excellent! After interviewing several contractors, we chose Monarch D & D and we couldn't be more pleased. The level of craftsmanship and quality is exceptional. They are responsive in every way and stand by their work always. They are honest, open and operate at the highest level of integrity and are on schedule to boot!!! We hired this firm based on strong recommendations from others in the community and were not disappointed. They do jobs from complete house builds to small remodels. We had a small out-of-date full bathroom that we wanted stripped to the studs and completely redone. MDD worked out a new plan, recommended the material, was careful to get us to sign off on everything so that there would be no misunderstandings and then executed it expeditiously. The project was completed per the original time estimate and even though this was a remodel in a 40-year old house, there were almost no cost surprises. Each of their tradesmen or subs was skilled and pleasant to deal with. The general foreman monitored the work with good humor and a cooperative style. We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.
