We never got through the design phase. We were very clear about our budget and goals from the beginning. After just two rounds of design work, which took many months longer than were promised, we were told that they could not work within our budget. What a waste of a lot of money, and we never even got plans. We are very, very disappointed in our experience.

Working with the Yankee Barn team was an excellent experience at every stage, from the initial discussions about my vision through to the final design. They were professional, attentive, highly creative and never missed a deadline. In fact they made me feel like I was their number one priority at all times. The House is not fully built yet but I am 100% sure it will be spectacular. My thanks to Kerri, Jon, Ben and the extremely talented Creative Director Jeff Rosen. I could not be happier!

We worked with Yankee Barn Homes to design and manufacture our custom, mid century styled home in the Mad River Valley of Vermont. We couldn't be Happier with the entire process. It is definitely our dream home and the entire team at Yankee Barn was very receptive to our desires and constraints of the site. We've been in the house for less than a year and already feel everything is as it should be. The home is energy efficient while providing a great open floor plan.

I have been a Yankee Barn Homes homeowner for 5+ years. My wife and I built The Bennington Carriage House as our empty nest dream home in the hills of New Hampshire’s lake country knowing we would encounter very warm summers and very cold winters… not to mention the wild Nor’easters and occasional hurricane. The sturdy and tight shelter our YBH provides is matched only by the esthetic pleasure the timber frame affords. We love our Yankee Barn!

Yankee Barn designed and manufactured my home last year. They worked diligently to meet my needs and timeline, going above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly. Throughout the construction project they gave advice and helped me procure necessary materials that did not come with my home package. They helped me stay within my budget by making design recommendations and offering material substitutions that would meet my needs. They have a great friendly team, everyone from the designers, sales, and builders. I would recommend them to anyone looking to build a high quality, beautiful post and beam home at a reasonable price!

Our family is arriving at our move in date for our amazing Yankee Barn Home this fall! We began at Bensonwood, and just could not get our needs met there. We have been nothing but pleased with the quality of workmanship, high level energy efficiency, and creative design put forth by YBH. Jon Sevigny listened to all of our wants and concerns and delivered exactly the design we had envisioned. Andrew Martin and his construction crew worked with an eye to precision, neatness and quality execution of the design. We have received many comments from finish tradesman about the quality of construction and impeccable attention to detail. Yankee Barn's insulated panel system is state of the art for energy efficiency. This company delivered our home on time and all of our dealings with the company have been handled with professionalism and integrity. I have read 1 other review on another site concerning Andrew Button, who is no longer with YBH. He was employed there when we began our home construction, but whatever problems he may have had, did not impact the quality of the product delivered to us by YBH. We have had nothing but compliments and praise from individuals in the construction industry who have visited our home to provide other services. We have complete faith in the quality of the product delivered to us and would not hesitate to recommend YBH. We are on their list of references. After much time spend in backcountry and national park lodges, the decision to build a timber frame home came easily for our family, it just fit our personalities. After that, we did what seemed to be endless research before making a decision regarding builders across the country. Selecting Yankee Barn Homes was the best decision we could have made. From our very first visit to the model home in NH, through our search for the perfect location, to our recent move in, YBH always provided the right amount of information and guidance to make informed decisions, without ever being burdensome or leaving us with questions. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, patient, knowledgeable and willing to share his or her experience for our benefit. YBH home made every decision and step in the process as painless as possible, and the result is our beautiful, energy efficient “forever” home. Specifically, Chris Sevigny at YBH was incredible to work with – a talented designer, knowledgeable and experienced in his craft and just a generally good person. Furthermore, the actual product, our new post and beam home, is amazing. Since the day construction began, total strangers have stopped in to ask us about our “beautiful” home, and our new neighbors tell us that people on the street affectionately refer to our home as “the barn”. I can easily say that Yankee Barn Homes is by far one of the best companies I have interacted with, across any industry. I can certainly recommend YBH without any hesitation.

We hired Yankee Barn Homes to design and construct our post and beam farmhouse in rural Ontario. These people were amazing to work with, from complete design flexibility to a fantastic product on site. Their focus on environmental sustainability, customer service and top quality materials is evident in every step of the design and building processes. This project was a huge leap of faith for us as we have never built a custom home before and I can say with confidence that I would recommend them without hesitation. The on-site work was completed on schedule and on budget and we are thrilled with the final product. Although our engagement on this project is coming to an end, I suspect we have established a relationship that will endure for many years.
