We canNOT recommend Tiffiny highly enough! We were introduced to her after the plans had been submitted but before we embarked on a nearly complete remodel. We left the primary bedroom and bathroom alone but otherwise reconfigured the floor plans with a small extension to the house. We also redesigned all of our landscaping adding several outdoor amenities. Tiffiny was truly the linchpin of our project serving a myriad of roles the chief of which was applying her absolutely excellent eye for design. Her availability, responsiveness and overall professionalism is superb. As with all projects, issues emerged and she was incredibly helpful at diffusing escalating situations and jumping in to help us problem solve. She worked very well with our general contractor and subcontractors having developed a strong rapport with several subs already. Our home is a traditional tudor that was built in the 1920s. She stayed true to what she originally told us which is that she lets the house dictate design features rather than a particular genre imposing itself on the house. She designed all of our cabinetry (kitchen, 3 bathrooms, desk, gorgeous media shelf, and family room cabinet), a beautiful railing for our staircase, a new mantel for our fireplace and a large barn door creating separate spaces. The entire house was repainted inside and out, all selections provided by Tiffiny. Importantly, she drove the choice of vendors and always led specific item choices with a balance between function and aesthetics. The vendors were of the highest quality which is so important in the process. We are a family of four and endeavored to integrate our teens into the process allowing them to design their own spaces. She served as a wonderful resource for us all as we navigated different opinions and visions helping the family stay in-tact, #1 priority is family can move into new home in-tact! She was also extremely helpful in driving prioritization decisions on the financial front so that we were able to complete the project within our means. She helped through every phase sticks to furnishing and beyond. Finally, Tiffiny is not only gifted with homes but she is an outstanding landscape designer as well. We had previously hired another firm that created a design that was completely un-buildable as it was way outside of our current zoning rules. It was a frustrating time for us and she answered the call by creating a beautiful design with all of our amenities and public space desired within the confines of the current regulations. She also helped us redesign a 6 foot deck that was poorly built into a gorgeous centerpiece of our outside area. Further, she chose all of our plants and personally laid them out for our landscape contractor. We continue to have people stop us in the street and compliment us on our landscaping, it is 100% Tiffiny. We are forever grateful for Tiffiny's unwavering service and gifted design, you will be too!

Tiffiny is a professional creative genius which is hard to find! She has a range of styles and did a great job seeing my inspiration pages and turning them into my own dream version of them. Tiffiny is able to source product on a variety of budgets from multiple vendors and is great at problem solving which a hiccup arises. Tiffing produced professional elevations for me for all bathrooms which made it so much easier for our tile and stone installer to do the actual installation without any confusion or mistakes. She met deadlines and stayed within budget. I look forward to working with Tiffiny again on a future project. She is amazing!

I worked with Tiff on a remodel of a home in San Mateo Park. I had a very clear idea of what I wanted the space to look like and had picked out a lot of the items before bringing Tiff onto the project. Tiff immediately understood the look and style I was going for and was able to work with and improve on it (even though it was quite different from the mid-Century look she does so well). She gave me clear direction when I needed it and steered me to good choices that led to a beautiful and uniform result, the exact one I was hoping for. Tiff also drew all the kitchen and many bathroom plans and worked closely with me to use her large knowledge base to tweak certain choices I was trying make, knowing how to guide to the end result she knew I wanted. She was also able to take inspiration looks I gave her and draw plans for the perfect fireplace/media center for the space. I would say color is another one of her gifts. She is GIFTED at color (even all the shades of white and off-white). The colors she helped me choose were really perfect and helped make for a streamlined and consistent result. I would say the other really superlative quality that Tiff brings is her ability to stay very calm during those moments when something goes wrong (an inevitability in ANY remodel). She never looked to blame, but switched immediately into her very effective problem-solving mode. She works very well with contractors as she is kind yet firm. She was an amazing point person on our project. Although I was remodeling a fairly large home, Tiff never made any assumptions about what I would be willing to spend on various elements. She respected the decisions I made about how and where I wanted to splurge and also helped me find the best choices in the areas I where I wanted to make more budget-conscious choices. I think this is rare in a designer (I'm sure most people know stories or have had experiences of working with people who find it very easy to spend other people's money). Tiff was also very transparent and prompt with her billing. It is without question that hiring her saved us money on our project. She has my highest recommendation.

Tiffany brought together an excellent team of professionals to do our kitchen and bathroom remodel. All of the team were excellent, clean, efficient and the work was perfect. See checked in regularly to make sure demo was executed with minimal mess, completed to our desires and she provided design and product input without leading us in a direction we didn’t want to go. She made sure we went to suppliers that provided a huge range of options that fit into our budget and that were also extremely helpful. We can’t recommend her highly enough. Great design eye and extremely helpful with a great attitude!

Tiff did an excellent job for us. We were remodeling our kitchen and all bathrooms, and she helped us through the process very effectively and efficiently. She got to know our taste and budget constraints and walked us through the design process in a logical and time-sensitive way. When we had uncertainties about design choices, she helped us resolve them with clarity and logic and the benefit of her experience. She had a long-standing working relationship with our contractor, too, which made the communications among all of us more effective. And she was super flexible in how we worked together. We were living about two hours away during the project, and she regularly visited the job site for us and got together with us over FaceTime when necessary to finalize design choices. We are very happy with how the project came out, and give credit to Tiff for helping us along the way and concluding it successfully.

Tiff has been really terrific to work with on multiple projects. She is a whiz with kitchen and bath design, and her drawings are very clear, plus the 3D images really help to explain layouts. I know I can really rely on her to come up with the perfect materials and color scheme for any project, and find her equally comfortable with both contemporary and traditional design.

Tiff is amazing and I will 100% hire her for my next project. She was able to transform my old and outdated kitchen to a kitchen of my dreams! She took care of the initial design, permit process, as well as project management of the contractor which was super helpful as I did not have any idea where to start and busy taking care of my kids. She was great at including me to pick out tile, paint colors, etc and made the process fun. She has an amazing eye for detail and design and can work with any aesthetic. I also just enjoyed hanging out and getting to know her--it was like working with an old friend!

I've had the pleasure of working with Tiffany on three projects (Woodside, Portola Valley, and San Mateo) over the past few years. The unifying point on all of the projects is a great organization on the projects. She is a wiz at communication and building a feeling of teamwork with the clients, G.C., and subcontractors. As a painting and finishing contractor, I love that Tiff has already worked with the homeowners to steam line the color process. Her approach with colors is always tastefully done, and it makes me look good at the end of the project. I hope to have many more projects in 2019.

She managed a complete remodel of our early 50's ranch style house and transformed it into a magical mid-Century modern. Can't say enough good about her design style and attention to detail. Loved that she did so much footwork to narrow decisions down to a manageable level from plumbing fixtures to tile to appliances. Wish we'd used her on other remodels we did before! She will be integral to any we do in the future.

Tiff is a life saver. We were recommended to Tiff by a neighbor who had just completed a year long renovation and had employed her services throughout the life cycle of the project. We had thought about hiring a designer, so this serendipitous meeting turned out to be one of the best things that could have happened. Our project is essentially a gut renovation of our home. We begun August 2017 with estimated completion in March 2018. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of little decisions that need to be made, and it can take a toll on you. Tiff is there for you! She narrows down the choices, based on what she has learned about your taste, and presents what she thinks are the best options. She's open to feedback, and very willing and able to adapt. Without Tiff, our project would have been pretty good. But with her, our home is going to be amazing and everything we dreamed of! Working a fulltime job and taking care of a family, all while trying to coordinate all the needs and requests of a contractor? Tiff is there for you! Tiff made herself available during the day, while we were working, to meet with our contractor as needed to go over a variety of decisions, ensure the quality and accuracy of the work, and to obtain needed materials that perhaps we had neglected to purchase. With Tiff, the renovation becomes a breeze. She's highly communicative and responds very quickly to any and all requests we've had of her. Not only is she an amazing designer, but she saves you money in the long term by preventing the need for marriage counseling! :) She's deftly navigating several design disagreements between me and my spouse, each time ending up at a solution that satisfies both of our preferences and taste.

All of the work done by Peninsula Modern is clean, contemporary and uniquely designed. Every detail is examined and household decisions (such as using a cupboard used exclusively for coffee or what to do with extra space over a garage) are cleverly solved. I have worked with Tiffiny on a few projects and she is easy going and decisive, and the team she works with is the best at what they do. I would highly recommend Peninsula Modern.
