O'Connor Home Design

It has been such fun!!! to share the results of our recent O'Connor Home Design design project with family and friends. Thanks to Jenn, we refreshed our condo's kitchen and all three bathrooms over the winter. She listens carefully and brings creative ideas to the table. She helped us identify a wonderful contractor as well. While the process included a few in-person meetings for item selection and project review, we were able to move much of the project forward from afar. We are grateful to Jenn and her staff for their creativity, organization and vision!

Used Jenn and her team for the first time after seeing her store and design dynamic. I had never used a company before but had an entire den to transform. They presented design boards after we met. We did rug, paint, furniture , lighting, etc. It is just wonderful. We are now doing primary bathroom and vanity. New floor( from rug to tile) , vanity , lighting, wallpaper, etc. Shout out to Caroline and Jaime! Use OConnor once and you will use again!

Jenn O’Connor’s help was invaluable when we renovated our house last year. She has an excellent sense of design, scale, and color. My wife and I purchased a Millman Cottage in Villas, NJ and had it completely renovated so we can enjoy it with our family while at the same time putting it up on Airbnb for short-term rentals over the summer. At first, we were very hesitant about using a Designer because we thought it was not necessary and thought we could just do it ourselves... well luckily, we were VERY wrong! There were so many design options out there and so many different directions we were going in it soon became very overwhelming, so we found Jennifer from O'CONNOR HOME DESIGN and after the first consultation were very impressed with the new route the project would be taking. Jennifer asked the right questions to hone-in on a particular design that would make our property standout from the rest in having a beachy, but classy theme with a modern twist. Her proposals took into account style, comfort, functionality, and quality. Were some of the design aspects a bit more expensive than we initially planned on... "yes", but we can tell you with 100% certainty it was totally worth it, and we are extremely happy with the final outcome! Not only was Jennifer great to work with, but her team was also just as impressive... Jaime and Makayla were there to carry the torch if Jennifer was with another client and communication across the board with everyone at O'CONNOR HOME DESIGN was right on point and first class, which was a must since we lived 2 hours and 20 minutes away. Their installer, Scott was also great and performed his work with attention to detail in all his measurements and installations... he even suggested some great ideas for our place which were never even on our radar, and he helped us implement them with ease. We thought we were going to be spending a lot of time down in Villas with our family this summer, but the place came out so nice it's been booked for 90% of the summer through Airbnb, with all of our guests complimenting how beautifully designed it is... to see for yourself type in "Doc's Bunker by the Bay" on Airbnb. Jennifer O’Connor and her team at O’Connor Home Design transformed our condominium—from unattractive, dated, and cluttered to a space that is airy, bright, cheerful, eye-catching, and functional. Searching for an interior designer was challenging. We do not live in New Jersey year-round and the thought of gutting our condo was stressful. But once we found O’Connor Home Design on Houzz, I knew Jennifer was the right designer for our project. Jen’s reviews were superb and her projects aligned with our style and aesthetic. We met with Jen in May 2023, immediately clicked, and started the project in late fall/winter. Our project was entirely completed by the beginning of June 2024. Jen made the process seamless, manageable, and uncomplicated. After completing a questionnaire, talking with Jen, and going on a shopping trip, Jen created gorgeous design boards. Then Jen would send room plans so that all we had to do was approve or decline items. Throughout the project, Jen shared updates online through Houzz and we scheduled a couple of phone calls. This was ideal being that we live so far away. Her communication throughout the process was helpful and reassuring. If you choose to hire O’Connor Home Design you aren’t just getting Jen. Aside from hoping for great-looking and functioning bathrooms, we were concerned about budget and timing. Jenn met all of our needs. She helped us with the design and all the fixture and tile selections, ensuring that we chose well-designed products within our budget and in stock and able to meet our timing needs. We could not be physically present for all of the work so Jenn kept an eye on the project for us, reporting to us and sending pictures. Once the project was completed, there were a few small tweaks we wanted to make after the contractor left. Jenn was able to find people and take care of those items for us. We could not be happier with the results and look forward to working with Jenn again when we get to doing our kitchen.

Jennifer O'Connor of O'Connor Home Design is a wonderful professional and it was a true pleasure to work with her. I would highly recommend her! We worked together from start to finish on my project: updating a 5 bedroom beach house in Sea Isle City. I explained to Jenn that I did not even know where to start nor, did I have a vision. She came to my home for a consultation. She listened to my ideas and concerns, answered my questions, took photos and shared her excitement on this make over - (definitely something that was too daunting for me alone!). Within a week, we met again and she presented several different design possibilities that included staging of existing furniture, color palettes, fabrics and window treatments. With her expert help I was able to find the starting point and a vision of how the house could look. This project did take several months (many added on due to Covid). The first step was a large painting project that included 2 of the 3 floors. Jenn's expertise helped me to select the wall color and connected me to Red Apple Painting and many other professionals including window treatments and reupholstery. These professionals delivered excellent results as we moved on. The most recent phase of this project has been the last floor - 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. We met again and with Jenn's great eye for design and color we made our last selections, as well as providing some help with staging accent pieces to complete the look. I cannot believe the transformation this house has gone through. It started as every room painted with builders white to the entire house now feeling like a warm and welcoming home. I know this would have never happened without Jenn being at the helm. My project may have been big, but I would absolutely recommend Jennifer O'Connor to you for any project - big or small. When Jenn asked if we could write a review, it was the least we could do for how well she was able to meet and exceed our designing needs. My wife and I had been postponing the updating of our beach home living room for years when a friend recommended Jenn. We reached out to her to set up a meeting at our home and she arrived a couple minutes early. It was so refreshing to have any contractor arrive when they say, if they show at all.
