We hired Gelotte Hommas to design our main home. We worked directly with Scott Hommas and Eric Drivdahl. The team did a great job helping us to select what we would want in a home without going overboard. I also felt like our team really listened to how we lived and what we wanted. A good test of whether or not it was a good project is if you are happy in the end - we are THRILLED. We also don't have anything that we would change which means they helped us think of everything up front. I highly recommend Gelotte Hommas!

We highly recommend Gelotte Hommas. Our building is beautiful. We were disappointed our budget was exceeded and the time to build took much longer than anticipated or promised, but the final product is amazing. We have them working on another project for us currently.

My name is Barbara Hyde Evans. I have an interior design firm in Seattle, Wa, and have had the opportunity to work with Gelotte Hommas Architects on several projects. This is a large firm, that does a lot of work on the Eastside. Matter of fact a trip around Lake Washington with a member of this firm and they would point out nearly every other home as something they designed! They have had many years of experience and success. I've worked with Curtis Gelotte, Scott Hommas Eric Drividahl, and Tatiana Tessel. All very successfully. A good, honest firm that delivers a fine product and develops relationships with clients that last a life time. We are so glad we selected Gelotte Hommas and Curtis Gelotte to design our new home. He totally got our "vision" and quickly put together drawings that we could agree upon. Our house turned out beautifully and flows so well. All the rooms are united and we use every single inch of the house. Curtis designed the outdoor deck space to capture the views and also create an area that is resort like in feel. We love this space the most and have spent a lot of time outside this summer. A most wonderful experience!

We worked with Gelotte Hommas Architecture to design a contemporary home for us that took advantage of a 15,000 square foot lot on a bluff that has views of a lake and mountain range. The lot slopes from east to west. Their design approach considered the lot, views, environment, our lifestyle and budget. At each phase of the process, we met to review the overall design and changes. They offered great ideas on incorporating elements that met our lifestyle criterion, and provided additional views on how certain features could contribute to our desired outcome. For example, we had a great room concept, but wanted some way to feel that the living area was separate from the kitchen. They came up with a great idea to incorporate a wood ceiling element in the living room that created a sense of separation and added an interesting design element to the room. The team had a great attitude; always being willing to consider requested changes, while being sure such changes did not create issues with the overall design, functionality or budget. We would highly recommend Gelotte Hommas. They offer relevant thinking, are diverse in their design approach, professional, flexible and extremely knowledgeable.

We have had the recent opportunity to work with the fine people at Gelotte Hommas Architecture. The project was a home in Kirkland, WA and the degree of difficulty was quite high on this remodel. All that was required was to turn a 10+ year old home into one that appears to be about 400 years old but designed and constructed with every technological advance possible. They were able to provide the level of detail necessary to make our jobs in the field and the shop much easier. They did an amazing job. Thanks for allowing us to be part of your creation. Curtis Gelotte of Gelotte Hommas participated in the 2005 Seattle Street of Dreams. MR. Gelotte designed the Melange, a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Prairie Style Northwest Contemporary. I purchased this home in December of 2005, shortly after the shown concluded with over 120,000 attendees paying $20 per ticket to view 7 custom homes by the Seattle areas most distinguished Architects and Builders. Since purchasing our home, which happens to be in a private, gated neighborhood, we have been approached, our home and yard photographed and published in a number of high end home and designer magazines. While researching home theatre equipment, i noticed my home gracing the cover of a home theatre magazine that I happened to be reading. None of this attention has been solicited. This is quite simply the result of a Curtis Gelotte home! Since we bought our home at the completion of the project, we didnt have the pleasure of working with Curtis Gelotte during the design and construction phase. That being said, i reference the asbuilts frequently and the various dealings I've had with the contractors on the project have led to. Numerous discussions praising Curtis Gelotte as perhaps the PNW's most brilliant residential architect! I would absolutely recommend Gelotte Hommas for the design of your dream home or project. I am a custom residential General Contractor, hired by a GHA client to build a high end "Accessory Building". This is my first experience working with Gelotte Hommas Architecture and I have been delightfully surprised. Not only is the level of creative detail unsurpassed, the level of integrity and attention to the desires and needs of both the client and contractor have been exceptional. I have found the architect and job captain both to be great team players and very responsive to issues that arise in the process of developing a complex facility. They have been instrumental in bringing together and coordinating a group of talented professionals to participate in the various aspects of the project. I woud not hesitate to recommend them to any client looking for a top notch team to design their dream.

Curt Gelotte designed our fabulous custom home. We planned for this to be our first and last home we were going to build, so we had to get it right. He was able to start working with us, even though we hadn't relocated from overseas. We gave him a floor plan and a few ideas and he was able to create a beautiful custom style that was more than we could have envisaged. Curt and his team were great to work with and if we were ever to build again we wouldn't hesitate to use him again. He puts so much into his designs he really becomes part of the family. He chooses his staff similarly, and so they are seamless team of professional where they always were available and able to assist. He worked well with our Builder and we completed on time and within budget.

Scott Hommas and his team provided the complete home design package from start to finish, including design, engineering, and project management. This was our first time through such an endeavour and Scott and team provided the perfect level of pampering and patience. Scott has been gifted with the ideal balance of artistic talent and intellectual know how; which is complimented by his vast experience of most styles and types of houses. Our house is a Northwest Contemporay design, which because of the lot had many complexities associated with it. Scott adroitly solved all the problems, with minimal cost escalations. We had a tight budget which they adhered to without sacrificing the scope and feel of the house. I was also impressed how well Scott and team were about designing the house to satisfy the rigors of permitting a building project in Bellevue. The process went smooth with virtually no bick hiccups. If you want the highest quality architect experience, a street of dreams quality home, with minimal hassles you need to go with this team.

Scott Hommas designed a wonderful English Arts & Crafts home for us. He listened to us and was willing to suggest ways we could use our craft & design abilities to create architectural details that readily fit into the overall technical plans. Four years later we still love it and enjoy how things (windows, doors, kitchen sink) seem to be "in the right place" for the way we live.
