Cheryl Oldershaw Chant

My husband and I were evaluating options to update an area in our home. We had already purchased a cabinet refinishing kit with plans to try the process on an older cabinet. A relative of mine who knew Cheryl recommended that we talk to her based on her knowledge and design expertise. When I met with Cheryl to discuss cabinet options, we soon moved to a full remodeling project. Unfortunately, the cabinets Cheryl recommended for our $300,000 home were inferior quality. As a certified designer, customers trust your recommendations The 22 y.o. cabinets removed from our home were better quality than the new ones Cheryl sold us. I would expect an experienced designer to know quality and be prepared to make a cabinet recommendation equivalent in quality to the room and the home. We were not cautioned with any information about quality trade-offs, which makes me wonder if there was a sales incentive involved.

After moving into a condo,the kitchen required updating to function more efficiently. Contact was made with Cheryl, after finding her name in the 'Find Local Pros' section of Houzz. What a find! It was obvious, from the beginning, that Cheryl has had lots of experience in kitchen design. She understood what we wanted to do and came up with a plan that corrected the flaws and was doable within our budget. A very pleasant experience and we love our new kitchen!
