As the homeowner, I would not recommend doing work with this contractor for any project large or small. Very dissapointed by the lack of oversight and abadonment of the project once 80% was paid. Project is still not complete and already over 100k. Will update once this project is complete. This is heartbreaking because he was recommended by two very close friends who had great outcomes with this contractor. Start date 11/15 review date 6/16.

I have worked with a very long list of contractors, designers and vendors over the last 20 years. I go back to the ones that I can trust and that I believe will do a good job. Doug has the highest character of nearly anyone I've ever met. In addition, he has a love for the craft of building and an eye for design. I would recommend him to anyone that asked.

I contacted Doug to inquire about the remodel of our basement and an update of the kitchen. The remodel of the basement included the construction and installation of a Bar Area including granite counter tops and new cabinets, along with a refrigerator and ice maker. In addition he constructed built in cabinets on an end wall of our basement and installed a new hardwood floor. Doug also completed a remodel of our kitchen which included a change from tile counter tops to granite a new back splash along with new cabinet doors with soft close hinges. He also repainted the kitchen to update the color to match the new cabinet doors, back splash and counter tops. All of Doug's work was professional and he exceeded all expectations during the work at the house. Whenever I had a question he was always available to help and assisted in the selection of products and colors for our kitchen. I plan on having Doug perform more work on my house in the near future as we are planning further updates to our house.

J. Douglas Martin & Associates, LLC are absolute professionals. We consulted with Doug with our ideas for a new deck. We had a rough idea of what we wanted and explained it the best we could. Doug took notes and suggested a couple of options where appropriate. Doug took our ideas and sketched out a great plan for us. With some minor tweaks we finalized a plan and he executed the plan to perfection. The deck turned out much better than we could ever have dreamed it possible. It is solid construction, quality work, and superb craftsmanship down to every minor detail. This deck will improve our quality of life significantly since we spend a great deal of time reading, soaking in the sun, socializing and enjoying a glass of wine on our deck. Thank you Doug Martin for making our dream come true.

J. Douglas Martin & Associates installed 2 skylights in our den. They are very knowledgeable company and arrive when they say and do what they promise. It was a pleasure to work with this company. Seven months after the skylights were installed we called them again this time for a new roof. They helped in getting the right color and did an excellent job. I can't say enough good things about this company. I would call them again the next time I have a project.

Doug designed, gutted, and rebuilt our master bath. He had great ideas for recreating the space to include the features that were important to us, including a heated tile floor. All his workers were courteous and professional, always doing quality work. Doug was very responsive to a couple of issues that came up after the project ended.
