Debra Jones

Debra Jones is a Scottsdale, Arizona based portrait artist. Her work reflects the Arizona aesthetic - a little bit old fashioned and a lot forward looking. Using traditional techniques in oil, pastel, watercolor and drawing she brings a very energetic and lively sensibility to the portrait. She does traditional heirloom quality pictures but strives to bring the product into the 21st Century. Her Western portraits of kids and cowgirls and cowboys approach the subject from a living breathing West, not frozen icons. Pets and horse portraiture are the bulk of her work. From small and affordable desktop sketches to wall hangings, all of the family is respected (furry or flesh) and the personality of the sitters is always the goal.
