Jeff and his right-hand man, Norm, are all-around good guys. My husband and I had no idea what we were getting into when we decided to overhaul our 1st floor living space. To call it a kitchen & bath (×2) remodel would be an understatement with every room on our 1st floor being impacted in some way. Jeff came up with a detailed budget and walked us through the project from start to finish, answering our many questions, calming fears, keeping the project moving along, and fixing any problems/issues/concerns as they arose. I especially appreciated the effort he took to keep a tidy work space. We lived in our home during this 5+ month project, and he masked rooms for us and really made an effort to clean up regularly. Other reviews speak to his attention to detail, professionalism, transparency, and skills, but for me, it's Jeff's pride in his craft and genuine desire to make his clients happy that stand out. He was accommodating and keeps a level head even in stressful situations. I fully recommend Newaukum builders for any home remodel project.

Please beware of any project you let Jeff Madsen(owner) perform for you. On my first meeting I thought he could do the job in a timely fashion, within budget and the time window we discussed. Unfortunately none of this happened. Approximately two years after the start date. I’m sending my last payment, approx $9000.00 m0re than we agreed upon. If you use hin, avoid a cost plus contractual agreement and set a deadline for completion.

Jeff with Newaukum Builders is an amazing contractor. We had a complete kitchen remodel that included installing new gas lines, rerouting plumbing/adding plumbing, rerouting electrical, the works! He was very transparent about the amount of work it would take and the cost. He uses Google Docs with spreadsheets that has the cost breakdown/itemization so its easy to see how the project is going/where prices are going to fall. He was honest throughout our project and they did amazing work! We would see Jeff very often throughout the project working with and overseeing his employees. They have excellent attention to detail and is receptive to changes, even last minute ones! He explained where the project was every step of the way and kept in consistent communication. The project was completed on time as well. I would recommend Jeff a million times over and plan to use him and his guys for our next project soon!

Newaukum Builders a.k.a. Jeff Madsen et al did a fabulous job transforming the main part of our house from a 1972 rambler to a beautiful, eclectic open-floor plan design. Jeff was a delight to work with, was always professional, transparent, responsible, considerate, accommodating, kind, and fair. I plan to hire them to do phase II (the bedrooms, bathrooms, and hallway), hopefully later this year. I highly recommend Newaukum Builders for any job!

Jeff and his terrific crew have remodeled a bathroom, kitchen and laundry room in my house. There was extensive dry rot damage in the bathroom and some in the laundry room. They repaired the damage and installed a new shower, toilet, sink, countertop, backsplash and floor. In the kitchen they updated the ceiling and lighting and replaced all the cabinetry, countertops and backsplash. They gutted and reconfigured the laundry room. Throughout the process I have been so impressed with their professionalism, thoroughness and attention to detail. Their workmanship and many design suggestions were excellent. I started the projects intending to sell my house, but I am so happy with the results I've decided to stay.

Jeff was great to work with - very responsive, honest and fair. He did my kitchen remodel and everything was high quality. I'd definitely recommend him!!

I love Jeff! He is honest, good-natured and a hard worker. He truly strives for the best possible outcome on a remodel project with a successful outcome. I am a interior design and have worked with Jeff on several projects over the years. His clients are sad to see him leave once the project is complete and often times find another one for him to work on. His craftsmanship is great and he stays on schedule and budget. Jeff and his team were fantastic to work with and I can't recommend them enough. We started out doing a kitchen and powder room remodel but had such a great experience working with Jeff that we ended up remodeling almost every inch of the two upper floors of our house--3 bathrooms, kitchen, family room, 3 bedrooms & deck. He is very professional and trustworthy--he is totally up on the latest trends and does everything possible to make sure that his clients are happy. We were very impressed with his attention to detail and he came up with some design suggestions that ended up being some of the best features of our house--i.e. the 8 foot pass through window in our kitchen. When we decide to re-do our basement we will DEFINITELY use Newaukum Builders!

Jeff has done 2 bathroom remodels for us. The first one was a complete redo of a 1950's bath. He made some very astute recommendations that we took him up on. He has a very good eye for how things work and his suggestions have improved the functioning of our small bath. On our second bath we redid a tub/shower to shower only. Our old dim bath is now bright and cheerful. We had some bumps in the road on both projects that were related to our old house and building codes. Jeff handled them all for us. He is now "my guy" for any handyman or remodeling projects that may come up. He is friendly, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend him.

Jeff is working on his second job for me-the first was a full to-the-studs kitchen remodel and now a bathroom refresh. I trust him to do a good job and ferret out potential problems before they get out of hand. I liked how when he walked in my house to bid the kitchen job it was as if I could see the gears turning in his head; puzzling out the project. He is extremely tolerant of my small children and I feel comfortable with him and his subcontractors in my home.

Jeff with Newaukum builders is professional and courteous. He pays close attention to detail and has thought about items for our master bath remodel that had not even crossed my mind. He is kind, patient and always has the client's needs in mind.
