We dreamed of renovating our home's kitchen and primary bath for the past five years, but we were unsure where to begin. Eliminating outdated columns and an awkward hallway left us wondering whether we should start with an architect, a structural engineer or an experienced designer. We hadn't even started yet, and we were overwhelmed! We found Sara of Tailored Designs through her amazing online portfolio, and we set up a meeting. It was the best decision and subsequent experience we could have imagined! Sara and Candace listened to our needs, our preferences and our vision, and they created plans for our spaces that surpassed anything we could have envisioned. Sara's talent and attention to detail, coupled with her experience and professionalism, was evident throughout the entire process. The communication was fantastic--GC Jonathan (Sara's husband) and Sara kept us from feeling overwhelmed by handling EVERYTHING! They curated selections, scheduled the most talented installers, ordered materials, answered all our questions and oversaw installations and inspections. Their subcontractors were equally impressive and professional. They ALL raved about Sara's attention to detail and welcomed opportunities to work with Tailored Designs. Highly recommend Tailored Designs for any home renovation, with their specialty bathrooms and kitchens! From start to finish Sara, Jonathan and team were professional, responsive and did a fabulous job transforming our primary bathroom into a luxurious spa oasis. Our project was a full gut renovation and they made the process easy, with ongoing updates throughout the process, and great partnerships with all the sub-contractors used to complete our project on time (all subs were very experienced, nice and worked well together). We love our new bathroom and already thinking about another project in the future (updates to our kitchen)- we will definitely utilize Tailored Designs again!

We counted on Tailored Designs for several projects in our home. They communicated very clearly, provided us options for our spaces/budget, and, above all, had really beautiful ideas. It was a pleasure working with Sara Scott with Tailored Designs. We had a vision that included a wall demolition, adding a much larger island and completely renovating and updating our kitchen. Sara Scott with Tailored Designs was such a delight to work with. She completely transformed our first floor/kitchen with her designs and the results were impeccable! Late 2015 – early 2017 while she was working for DiFabion Remodeling Sara was the designer for my home renovation. The first project completely redesigned my kitchen opening a wall to create better sight lines. The project also redesigned 2 bathrooms and the built-in book cases flanking the fireplace in the family room. The second project completely redesigned my master bath. I love the updated “modern-elegant” (a term Sara coined) look of my home. From initial design consultation through project completion Sara was delightful to work with. She listens carefully to thoughtfully develop creative, functional designs. My kitchen is small, but it looks and functions much bigger than its size thanks to Sara.

Our house is so much more of a home thanks to the wonderfully talented Sara Scott. While working for DiFabion Remodeling, Sara completely redesigned a portion of our home that includes a new laundry room and mudroom, which was an addition to the house. She also took our existing 20 year old kitchen and made it a real showcase space in our home. Her attention to detail goes above and beyond...she even went as far as to measure my laundry detergent containers to be sure that they would fit on the shelves in the laundry room. We also spent over an hour opening all of the kitchen cabinets to see what was in them and what we would need in planning to the new kitchen cabinet layout. Sara takes the time during the design phase to double and triple check so that there are no surprises when the cabinets arrive and the appliances are installed. It’s pretty amazing to see it all come together. Outside of her tremendous talent as a designer, Sara is a pleasure to work with. She listens carefully and takes as much time as is needed to walk through the process of designing a new space. She is the picture of professionalism; she is always on time and does what she says she’s going to do. Honestly, that is a rare quality in this day and age. We are so thankful to have had Sara Scott work in our home and could not be more pleased with the new spaces she created for us.

A couple of years ago, I decided to remodel my kitchen. It was a very confined space, but I did not want to spend extra money to knock out walls to change that. Sara showed me a design to do just that anyway. And it blew me away. It took a very tight space and opened it up completely. I still can't get over the difference it made, and I would never have done that without her confidence that it was the right thing to do. I get easily overwhelmed with making all the design choices of the individual elements of the kitchen. Sara understood what I was looking for, and picked out options for me to consider. Again, I would never have picked these choices on my own, but they came together beautifully. Sara took all the worry out of the process for me.
