I had never used a design consultant before and I was skeptical as I didn’t know what to expect or what the service would entail. Hiring Rosario was a great decision because she brought the whole process together with creative options for me to choose from for my flooring and kitchen. She gets attention to detail and guided me through the process with constant communication, including keeping me within my budget. The design was fresh, bright, modern, comfortable and created spaces for a modern family home with classic warm touches. I would highly recommend Cithyhaus Design and plan on using Rosario and her team for my next remodel and design.

I hired cityhaus for a large remodel of my home consisting of dining room, formal living room, laundry room, father’s bedroom and bathroom....while Rosario and her contractor Peter were gracious and respectful their professionalism was completely lacking....Rosario and her team had 2 months to complete the work before we moved in and nothing was completed ...Rosario was difficult to communicate with via text messaging and had delayed responses to emails ...her communication with me was sporadic...she did not monitor progress or performance of construction staff...agreed upon deadlines were missed by weeks with no acceptable explanation given...grout was done without consulting me on color therefore I have hired another contractor to change that...the work that has been done is not satisfactory to me and again I have hired another contractor to redo the work... very very disappointing particularly that our initial meeting took place in February and now in June I am starting all over again with a huge financial loss

What can I say to convey how thrilled we are with the results of your beautifying our home? We absolutely LOVE everything -- bookcases, the artwork on the walls of the foyer, office, family room, dining room, bedroom, hallway, mom's room, even the bathroom! Each area elicits a wide grin and vocal approval. It's so amazing to walk around the house and see our collected memories, in the form of various art work and decorative items, visible reminders of so many wonderful times shared and memories stored. Thank you, thank you, thank you for listening to us so carefully, looking around our home so thoughtfully, and interpreting what you’ve seen and heard so masterfully. We are over the moon!

Rosario provided the much needed guidance we needed to create a cohesive design in our kitchen. She was VERY patient, as she was available on multiple occasions to sit down to review and discuss material options and selections. She and her contractor were reliable and the completed job was impeccable! We LOVE our kitchen!

The company assisted me in making various repairs throughout the house with quality and timely work, for a very reasonable price. I was planning on selling an investment property 'as is', because I didn't think the house needed much work but was told it was to outdated to sell profitably. I brought in Cityhaus to assess the house, both structurally and design-wise. Rosario's recommendations brought out the simple beauty of the 1940s house and made the most of the small spaces. Rosario knew what to keep, like mid-century sconces in the living room, and what to focus on like the original windows throughout the house to enhance the natural light. Her design decisions kept the style and added function on a reasonable budget. With her design partner Peter and their strong space planning skills, they reconfigured an unworkable single wall kitchen, starting by removing an awkward wall, and opened up the floor plan inexpensively by removing non load bearing walls and creating space and light in an updated "U Shaped" kitchen. The added kitchen space was used for a modern full sized refrigerator installation, dishwasher, and additional storage space, the kitchen was opened up and custom designed for double the cabinetry. They designed a pass-through dine-in counter to the living room to highlight a large-scale original window and more open floor plan. To reflect the light in this new living, dining, and cooking open space, Rosario choose pale green for the custom cabinetry (and managed to save and refinish original cabinets to match) and glass subway tiles for the kitchen accent wall, a subway backsplash compliments the original white subway tile in the bathroom, where she added a modern pedestal sink scaled for the small space and an oversized mirror storage cabinet and upgraded lighting. The cast iron tub was sanded and re-enameled. Rosario's color choices reflect light and create space with creamy whites on the walls and newly refinished modern ceilings - and a warm caramel brown ceramic tile floor throughout the open space. With a team of trades & specialists, lead by Peter Rittmann as general contractor, my entire house was given architectural t.l.c. and brought up to code with electrical, plumbing and flooring. Small details like adding all new Decora light switches and outlets made the house feel up to date. I look forward to working with Cityhaus again soon. I will definitely seek out their aesthetic and structural services again as they dramatically improved the resale value of an older home and earned my future business. Kevin Welch

What a delightful and extremely positive experience I have enjoyed with Rosario. If I lived in El Paso I would love to employ her services and share her stylish creativity and professional approach with everyone I knew. I was looking for the dog door knob and contacted Cityhaus through their site. I received and immediate response asking for details on what I was looking for. Rosario let me know she would investigate to find if the dog door knob was available. She did the research and discovered the company no longer made that product and sent pictures of other possibilities that might interest me. I live in the Pacific Northwest and that made no difference to Rosario. She offered her services to me, was extremely prompt in her response, found other possible options and offered to put me in direct contact with the manufacturer if I found something that fit my need! What service! I would certainly use Rosario's professional creativity and services if I lived in her area.
