Greg Van Dam, Dwell Well Remodeling, has completed two major remodels for my home. The first one was in 2011-2012. The kitchen was relocated from a small room and moved to a much larger room that had very little use. This included major design work and restructuring of the space. A kitchen peninsula was built as a partial useful divider still allowing for open concept and the space was designed with beauty and function in mind. The cabinets are knotty alder and go to the ceiling. There is a large pantry with pullout shelves that is amazing. Space is well structured and the storage is outstanding. They carefully listened to my unique requests and I felt my desires were honored. Greg suggested a pot-filler by the stove and that has been a fun useful addition. The crew also put hardwood doors on all the rooms; laminate flooring was put down throughout most of the home and new wood baseboards were added. I had never been through a remodel before. Greg carefully shepherded me through decisions and choices. All of the people working on my home did so with integrity and care. I now have a very beautiful, efficient high- end kitchen and the other additions in this remodel just added to the value of my home.
The second remodel happened in 2013-2014. Because I decided to return to this group for this second remodel, says clearly, I trusted their work. I hired an architect to design two room additions. Greg and his crew worked with the designs I had tweaking them when necessary, which proved to be often. They built a large walk-in closet onto the side of my home coming off my bedroom. They also build a large master bathroom off of the back of the home. The bathroom has a floating cabinet, a walk in shower and stand-alone tub. The tile work is perfectly matched and extraordinary. All the people on these jobs were highly skilled craftsmen. Skylights, Tube lighting, and a large window were a part of the design. They also remodeled another bathroom, which included bumping out a wall. The laminate flooring and baseboards from the earlier remodel were extended throughout the home. Again, skill, integrity, and care could be seen in all the work done on my home.
As the years have gone by, I call or email Greg from time to time with questions about my home. He responds quickly and completely. I know he will be there with people to call or options for me to consider.
These remodels, including the additions to the house, do not look like add-ons. My space was carefully tied together. Remember I had no remodel experience to start and I relied totally on their expertise. I will forever be grateful and highly recommend Greg Van Dam and his skillful crew.
