I am thrilled! John and Kerry were wonderful to work with from day one through the end of the project. They remodeled my kitchen, installed a hardwood floor throughout the main level, and upgraded two bathrooms. Their attentiveness to my questions was impressive, I rarely had to wait 10 minutes for a response. They brought creative ideas to the project, willingly listened to my needs and ideas, and blended them with their expertise. Throughout the project, they were flexible and accommodating to the changes I thought might work and often proposed alternative - and almost always better - ideas as a solution. I especially liked the special things they did as a matter of course that I hadn’t expected to be part of the original plan. The lighting designed by John is outstanding and is perfectly suited to my needs and lifestyle. The craftsman working with them bring a high-level of quality, commitment, respect, and dedication. The end result exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t be happier and will gladly work with them again.

We've used Kerry twice (old and current home) so that would be the start of how our experience has been with her and her services. We've appreciated her architecture background as our homes have been close to 100 yrs old and nothing is level, straight or standard. She is always up for the challenge of solving something 'wonky'. Based on our experience she took our initial meeting of wants, needs and ideas and provided varying detailed plans for the space (1st was a kitchen, dining, and bath remodel and current was a kitchen remodel). We were then able to take design components from one plan and merge with another (where able). Another item I feel sets Kerry apart from others based on our experience and talking to others who have had kitchens done is the planning meeting where we discuss what each cabinet/drawers intended use will be and the kitchen flow. This was so helpful for a few reasons: (1) took the guess work out as well as cut down time when unpacking (when you've wrapped your remodel you just want to move into the space and start enjoying it), (2) forced us to take stock of what we have, how you use it and what was needed for it all and (3) the flow of the kitchen and a new way of thinking of placement (for example: storing dishes closest to where an item is 'used' vs closest to putting away (aka unloading dishwasher) which meant dishes were closest to counter/table and glasses closer to fridge). She is very communicative throughout the process which is so helpful as this can be an overwhelming and stressful process. The one minor drawback is lighting which is John's side of the business. It can be a bit much in terms of how much lighting is recommended for the space and cost. Overall we have enjoyed working with Briggs Design and always toss their name into the hat when people ask if we know of anyone.

Our job was quite extensive: Opening walls on two floors which required reinforcing floor on every level, and the build-out of a balcony which also required structural reinforcement. A custom bar was built to our specifications and it turned out fabulous! Cabinetry from the master bathroom and sitting room to the bar is perfectly fitted and look beautiful. Issues with doors warping have been or are being addressed. We love the custom lighting thoughout the project, especially the bar area. We wanted an art deco flair, and the lighting at the corners of the bar and back cabinet are not only art deco but we can change the color and intensity to whatever we are celebrating. Our project took a little longer than projected - COVID had an affect on everything, but being patient paid off. We love our new space!

Briggs Design Associates, Inc. has partnered with me to make my vision for my kitchen and mudroom remodel a reality. My questions are always answered, they show up when expected, they say what will be done and then do it, they have continuously impressed me from the start. Kerry & John have done a great job of making my vision, for the remodeling of our 3 bathrooms and entry way, a reality. They were with us every step of the way, from designing the cabinetry, to steering us toward reliable, helpful suppliers and highly competent contractors. They always gave excellent advice, offering their expertise, when I couldn’t make up my mind or a decision had to be made quickly. We felt we were in good hands and are very thrilled with the outcome.

BDA, Inc. was amazing. Our project was taking our 30 year-old kitchen, pantry, laundry and back hallway down to the studs in order to create our dream kitchen and adjoining spaces. I knew what I wanted but was open to suggestions. John and Kerry brought their experience and their expertise to handle this large remodel. Choosing a company to handle something like this is scary. You hear so many horror stories about remodeling. We knew the night we met with them that we could trust them with our project. We now consider them friends!

Briggs Design is amazing. We bought a home that needed almost every part of the house remodeled. Briggs Design handled it excellently. John took the time to understand our needs and listen to our ideas. He then gave us honest feedback and improved our initial concepts. They use the highest craftspeople and go above and beyond the call of duty, making sure every element of the remodeling is performed excellently. If you have a remodeling job for any part of your home, you can count on them to get the job done and get it done right.

Working with the Briggs was just the best. My husband and I recently bought our home and wanted to customize our kitchen so it fit us a little better. We’d never worked with a designer before but knew we wanted a professional’s help with an area so important to our home. John and Kerry helped with each step and guided us through our pandemic home project. They took our original idea and elevated it so that it looks beautiful and fits the space perfectly. They gave us options (but not too many!) and patiently answered every question we had. We couldn’t be happier with the end result and would recommend Briggs Design Associates to anyone!

We had a wonderful experience with Briggs Design. We were moving from Texas to Illinois and were wanting to get several projects completed prior to moving into our new home. John helped organize and coordinate multiple tradespeople to get projects completed in a very small window of time. We are very happy with the results.

I had a smaller project to renovate tiling in my walk-in shower and add some appliances. john Briggs was very friendly and got the project started right away. His staff was reliant and punctual. The work done was without any complaint. John was especially flexible and helped with fast project turnover.

Roberta Galowich From the time of the interview with Kerry & John, I knew they would be a perfect fit for my kitchen project. Both with engineering and architectural backgrounds, I expected them to be extremely organized and exacting and I got precisely that. Kerry’s experience and knowledge of exactly what was required and expected was top notch. She was an absolutely joy to work with. My relatively small kitchen was transformed into a beautiful space with many more usable cabinets than I had before and much more countertop square footage. The Amish cabinets are of high-end furniture quality . I love everything about my kitchen and enjoy seeing it and working in it every day! Kudos goes out to Robert, a master carpenter who moved a wall to afford a more open concept. John was amazing in his lighting design offering me a lot of flexibility as to which lights I would like to use at a given time. Briggs Design is extremely professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of the kitchen design process and made it as seamless as possible. Everything turned out perfectly. Thanks again for all your hard work! I have already recommended a client to Briggs and I will continue to do so. They are very deserving of a five star recommendation!
