Since 2003, we specialize in collaborating with builders and homeowners to provide stock plans and create custom house plans for each project's needs. Brint was AWESOME!!! My Wife and I are in the process of building our first house ( General Contracting it ourselves ) and we got recommend to Brint by another home contractor in the valley. We are so glad that they did. We ended up using one of Brint’s stock plans and putting our own little touch on it. Brint was extremely patient with us not to mention being very prompt in our correspondence. We exchanged multiple emails regarding changes from walls inside the house to where the house would be sitting on the lot. Placing the house on the lot took five or six emails alone just to get it right. Brint was always accommodating and never made us feel like we were being “ That client “ that just couldn’t make up their minds. We would highly recommend anyone give Brint a call if you are looking for a Draftsman. You will not regret it.

We had roughed out a home plan & barn plan which met our needs and rural acreage setting, had assembled many interior & exterior photos of homes with partial features which depicted our Country Craftsmen theme but knew we needed help bringing it all together. Brint and his team took all of this (at times random) information from us and transformed it into a very successful design which fully captured our needs and vision. Brint was a real pleasure to work with, has a much appreciated sense of what dimensions are needed to make a floor plan, circulation paths and furniture placements work, and his creativity with rooflines & exterior elevations are very good. The project schedules were clarified up front, all performance dates were met and we have a very thorough set of construction design drawings to carry forward with our new home & barn build this summer.

Vintage Designs

We had already given a lot of thought to the design of a dining room addition to the front of our house. Brint improved on our ideas and added details that will greatly enhance the curb appeal of our home. He worked quickly and efficiently and produced a beautiful set of plans. We would enthusiastically recommend him. It is so important to get the scale and the many details right when adding on to an existing structure. Because of Brint's expertise the value of our home will increase by more than the cost of the new construction.

Our builder, Signature Homes, works with Apex for their excellent design skills, and we can completely understand why. It is AMAZING to me that you can have a picture in your head of what you imagine your custom home to look and feel like, and Brint was able to put that on paper EXACTLY. I was absolutely floored at how the finished project matched my ideas perfectly. During the design process, we went back and forth with some additions and subtractions, and Brint was able to keep the integrity of the design without sacrificing comfort or flow. We are absolutely IN LOVE with our custom home and recommend Apex Design and Drafting without any reservations whatsoever.

The team at APEX is so easy to work with and they know what they are doing. Our builder recommended Apex so we were comfortable ditching a plan we had been carrying around for 10 years. The process started out with Brint interviewing us so he could get an idea of what we were looking for in a home, which might have been hard since we obviously weren't sure ourselves. Then Dustin went to the property (kinda remote) and did a detailed evaluation of the land and how the house would be sited. Through the design process Brint was accessible and attentive to our needs. In the end we were presented with the most beautiful home design matched to our dreams, a true custom home. The process takes a little longer than picking a plan out of a book but the results are so worth it.

Since my home had to be under 1250 SF it was a challenge designing what I wanted and making it fit in a small space. Brint created a plan that exceeded my expectations. He used his knowledge and creativity to construct a great floor plan and an exterior design to match the house on my existing property. We found a house for sale that we really liked here in Grand Junction, the floor plan was designed by Apex Design & Drafting. We loved the layout of the home but were not ready to buy at the time. We wanted to build that same floor plan however we needed to modify it to fit the building envelope of our lot, as well as make a couple minor modifications to fit our own lifestyle and design preferences. We signed a Contract with Apex to purchase the floor plan which included up to 6 hours of modification/re-design time. We had a meeting in person with Brint, who came up with the best solution on how to minimize the width of floor plan to fit on the lot, without taking away from the things we love about the floor plan. Brint was also very open to our desired changes and gave some guidance on the best ways to make those changes. We received a full set of digital plans which included; Elevations, Floor plan, Site Plan, Roof Plan, and Foundation Plan. Apex was very quick to reply to e-mails and answer our questions. We would recommend them to our friends and family for any drafting needs. We are so EXCITED to Build our NEW HOME!!!! Thank you Apex!!! Zach & Stefanie Avila
