Working with Gallagher Design Group for three months was a mixed bag that highlighted their remarkable creativity and staging skills and unfortunate communication and quality issues. On the one hand, Carlene's use of a tone-on-tone color scheme with gold accents and stylish pieces from HomeGoods and Living Spaces added a beautiful touch to our home. The team's attention to style and creativity was impressive. However, communication and quality issues arose during the project. I sometimes struggled to reach Carlene and received delayed responses to my concerns. Quality issues included the team using drywall screws to hang heavy decor, which required repairs, and marine-grade paint that left an unpleasant odor for months. Additionally, some light fixtures were not flush with the ceiling, and some plants were unsuitable for our shaded entryway, making it challenging to keep them alive. I felt that Carlene overlooked my needs as a client when I provided feedback. While she suggested I pick out what I wanted, I hoped for more personalized guidance and quality assurance. I suggest that Gallagher Design Group implement regular check-ins, such as weekly phone calls or progress updates, to ensure that they address the client's concerns on time and communication issues. Providing a detailed project plan at the beginning of the project would also help manage expectations and ensure everyone is on the same page. Additionally, receiving estimates and invoices in a more structured approach would have helped me keep track of the overall cost and better understand the project's financial aspect. Despite these challenges, I still recommend Gallagher Design Group for their remarkable creativity and staging skills. However, clients seeking more personalized attention and investment pieces may wish to consider other options.
