Wow. I mean WOW!!! This guy and his crew did a Fantastic Job. I'm getting ready to sell my house, so it needs to look good. They came in put pavers and a deck in the back, I had them landscape the front for curb appeal. His crew were polite and professional. When Ryan was busy in the front and the guys were finishing up in the back, I asked Juan a question, he knew what he was talking about. Don't pass these guys up. the price was reasonable, and they added value to my house

Ryan and his team were awesome to work with. They did a full demo of our backyard and put in turf, garden beds, a slab for what will become an office shed, and a brand new patio. He was very communicative throughout the process and stayed perfectly on schedule. I really liked how straightforward he was with the quote and pricing, and was flexible with the plans to accommodate new requests. Ryan was very detail oriented and made sure all of the work that was completed was up to his specs. Highly recommend his business to anyone!

We LOVE Ryan and his team. We hired him in mid-2023 to design and landscape our front yard, backyard, side yards and driveway. Not a single piece of our outdoor living space was left untouched and drastically changed by his team. We initially hired him to do the design for our landscaping (front and back) including designing a new front porch and outdoor kitchen. After seeing the design we asked for him to quote the project and kept going from there. We were up front with our timeline kicking off conversations in July but being up front in communicating we could not start the project until October. He did exactly that working with us to sign a contract in advance and then staying in contact with us through the following months letting us know if he was behind in any prior projects before he could begin our project which was right on time the first week of October. He quoted the project could take 4-6 weeks and that’s exactly how long it took even with the challenges they experienced along the way. He had to deal with unexpected bedrock in the backyard, found a cement and rebar pond buried in the front yard, a wasp nest was buried in underground roots, the list goes on but Ryan always came to us with solutions, not problems. For the retaining wall, we ended up doing a large concrete footer with a reinforced wood fence on top for our backyard retaining wall which came out perfectly and gave us the extra strength we needed for the extra height. What we loved most was that he was really creative and came up with new ideas. In particular he came up with an idea of backlit metal sheeting to top our backyard fencing, which is absolutely beautiful at night and has transformed out backyard. Plus, he was always communicative, clean and courteous. They swept up the dirt and rocks out of walking paths, disposed of trash in the dumpster, etc. Also, he was really cognizant of trying to stay in budget and making sure any adjustments or improvements weren’t out of our price range. We highly recommend him if you’re looking for a landscaper!

Ryan and his team are awesome. First and foremost, I am frugal and I do my due diligence when I research on contractors. There are plenty of landscapers that post they are licensed but when you look them up on the California database you can’t find them. (Sensitive Information Hidden) Ryan is fully licensed. Ryan promptly came over to survey the work on the backyard. He’s honest, straight forward, and listens to our needs. We had a limited budget and he put in a competitive bid based on our needs. He even provided a mockup on his vision which added another level of professionalism. I wanted to put in a putting green and the added bonus is that Ryan is a golfer. He made sure the green would have the necessary breaks, speed, and the right amount of holes for continuous usage. His team was on time every day. Ryan demo’d the back yard, leveled the dirt, added a retaining wall, assembled the pergola, laid cement, and flagstone. My wife insisted on flagstone during the project so Ryan went above and beyond to look flagstone at nearby quarries that would match the wall. Him and his team completed everything in 7 days. Everything turned out amazing! Overall, Ryan was the best choice we could have made. He is super easy to work with, genuine, price conscious, detail oriented, made the right design recommendations and would love to work with him again.

Ryan and his team did a fantastic job installing stainless steel railing, finishing up some work on an ipe deck, and with a few other misc. landscape tasks we needed. They were on time, hard working, and we'd definitely hire them again for additional landscape/hardscape needs.

We bought our house 6 years ago and knew we'd have to re-do the yards eventually. I tried so hard to keep up with them, in spite of working 50 hours a week, volunteering, and traveling. It was a losing proposition. Then I was injured and the resulting physical limitations meant that our house was "that house" in the neighborhood. You know... the one with overgrown everything, looking like Halloween year round. I contacted several landscapers to help me figure this mess out. One ranted at me when I asked about timelines. Another wanted a crazy amount of money just to look at my yard. A third said they wouldn't do anything less than $$$ and way higher maintenance than I could maintain. UGH! Then I talked with Ryan from Symons Landscaping. He came out to look over the yards. We talked about my needs and wants, plans for the future, favorite plants, plants I hate, general look and feel, etc. He was super easy to talk to, didn't talk over me, talk down to me, or ignore my opinions and concerns. We went back and forth a few times - he was so patient with my questions and asking for various options. We signed the contract, and then disaster hit: my husband lot his job. Luckily he got a new one quickly, but we had to make some decisions - one of which was to reduce the project and only do the front yard. Ryan took it all in stride. Once work started, it only took a couple of weeks. His team was friendly, kept things clean and were respectful of our neighbors. It was a fantastic experience all around. I plan to hire Symons Landscaping again once we're ready to make the backyard habitable.

These days you are at least want to get what you pay for. But, rarely do you get that and more. We did so, and are very happy with the work of Symons Landscaping. We would definitely recommend them. Ryan's company is prompt, caring and professional. We have have over a third of an acre on a hillside and have been looking over 10 years for the right landscaper/contractor to put our dream into reality. Symons Landscaping not only followed the plan, they understood and achieved our vision, creating exactly what we wanted, along with a few additional touches we hadn't considered. We found Symons Landscaping through HOUZZ. A fairly new business, there weren’t many reviews or recommendations available online. And so through our vetting, we came to recognize Ryan as the right landscape contractor. His questions on the plan were perceptive. His calculations and bid demonstrated he is not only competitively priced, he is also accurate. He also impressed us upfront with how amicable and easy to work with that he is. The job included removing and repurposing a lot of hardscape and building new fixtures (e.g., sunken fire pit, 2 sets of concrete stairs, 2 sets of pavers, a new curb, a dry creek bed, stylized DG paths, etc.), excavation of part of the yard and redesign of our drainage, putting in 2 new lawns, turning a raised bed Into a water feature, adding irrigation throughout the property, and also incorporating our labors (and plantings) of over the past 10 years into a cohesive look and feel.

When we bought our house in Dec 2017, we knew it was going to be a big project on every level. When it came time to fixing the landscaping (front yard, entry way, side-yard and backyard), Ryan delivered a reasonable quote and offered a quick timeline on the project. During the design phase, we had a rough sketch of what we wanted to do and Ryan provided great feedback and suggestions to help us complete our vision. Ryan was efficient, accurate, detail-orientated, thoughtful and responsive throughout the entire process. Ryan and his team's work speaks for itself and I would highly recommend him to anyone who's looking to add more curb appeal to their home. Although the project start was delayed because he finishing up another project, Ryan was able to still finish our project by our deadline, as he promised.

We are very satisfied with the end result. Ryan was very professional from the initial inquiring of what and how a putting green would work for us, meeting committed schedules, completing tasks, and cleanup of the work area. Ryan’s experience helped us formulate the green slope and green to rough ratio. We couldn’t be happier.

Ryan and his team did a great job on our front yard. He was the most reasonable contractor when we met for an estimate. Listened carefully and understood fully whats needed, as the job required to extend existing pavers and install artificial turf in multiple locations. Always on time, listens to suggestions and fun to communicate with. We are going to hire them again for another job. These guys rock! Highly recommend!

I hired Symons Landscaping to rebuild the retainer wall and remove concrete back yard, level land and replace with paving stones. Create new walk ways around the house and drive way to garage. Ryan also installed french drains around the retainer wall and down spouts to move water away from house. Excellent work we are so happy with the job they did for us.
