Don’t ever give single penny advance to Hamza. He will take your advance money and never show up again or answer your calls. We paid him $3000 advance for kitchen remodeling work and he stopped answering our calls after receiving money since August.

Do NOT use them! I had to take them to court and sue them for the horrible work AND never even starting the bathroom work and KEEPING the money that I gave them! I won the lawsuit, and they have NOT paid me a dime! I have given them my Venmo account and they have the address, but have not received any money back at all. They promise to pay, promise to do work, but don't! I had to hire another person to tear out my kitchen floor because they just set the tiles on the old mesh that was under the tiles that they took off, and that is why they all started breaking. To demand money for the bathroom and never even start the work is disgusting. They kept the money and have not paid me. I am not only one who has sued them. Many people have reached out to me and had to sue them as well. They have not paid them either! They can say all they want, however, the proof is that they have NOT paid any of us back the money that we are due! Again, he will tell you anything to get the job, and then not complete it and keep your money!

After a little delay with our project, I’m very satisfied with the outcome, Hamza and Meriden Makeovers did an excellent job replacing old tub and putting new tiles in, fairly priced, great quality work, definitely will hire again.

Extremely disappointed. Do not use them!! Had I seen some of these reviews I would never have hired Hamaz. We had a signed contract to put up shutters and repair trim work around two garage doors. Hamza showed up to hang 22 shutters. After that it went downhill FAST! Set a date to do garage but called and said he was leaving for PA and would call us on Friday when he returned. Never called. Called Hamza on Monday and he said "he forgot about us"! he then set another date. That day came and he called and said "his van broke down and he was stranded in Htfd". Said he would call us when van was repaired. He never called and I had to call him. Asked him for a contract rescission as I knew he would never do the garage doors. Hamza said he would send us that rescission. Well, you know he did not and probably never will. I let Home Depot know their referral to Meriden Makeovers was not good. They took Meriden Makeovers off their list! Just desserts.

Been working with Meriden makeovers for a while now and they are excellent. They are prompt and very reliable. Am always super satisfied anytime they carry out any projects for my home or office. I highly recommend them .

I highly recommend Meriden Makeovers LLC. Our family had an issue with the bathroom ceiling (damage from a leak, creating a hole in the ceiling where the light fixture was, to the point where an umbrella was actually used when we entered the room!} The owner of Meriden Makeovers let us purchase a new light fixture/fan/heater of our choice (with his knowledge/help for what would work best). He and his crew fixed the very large hole in the ceiling, installed the new fixture, and even returned the next day (a Saturday) to paint the entire ceiling! It looks great and we are very happy with the work done! Thank you to Meriden Makeovers LLC...and thank you to any customer who may have had to wait an extra day for your service so that this emergency could be taken care of!

I highly recommend this company. They were on time, professional and did an excellent job. We were impressed by their teamwork, attention to detail and courteous interactions with us, the customer. When we had a leaky fixture (manufacturing defect, not their fault) they returned in a timely matter and corrected it. We will definitely use them again!

What a disappointment! Contract had "time is of the essence" in it but no attention was paid to it. Delays and excuses, work incomplete, sometime would show up other days not at all with no call, date to return ignored and then wouldn't return my call. So much left to do and he cancelled time after time. Finally left with many items on our contract not complete. Would not recommend this company.

They never showed up to do the job. This contractor had my money since June. Finally got a date and they never showed up. I cancelled the contract and he came with a post dated check. I waited 2 weeks after trying to work with Hamza and when I finally cashed the check it bounced. Not only did I give half my money I bought doors, heating/air conditioner unit, paint, and paid the building permit that was his obligation. I still have not received my money!

I hired Meriden Makeovers the following was supposed to be completed by June 3rd, 2020: remove existing tile from kitchen and install new tile, install kitchen and bathroom new faucets, take out old tub and tub around and install new ones fix a minor problem with the toilet I gave 1/2 the money upfront. They started the kitchen floor but before finishing the floor the owner called and asked for the final payment. He told me to read the contract $ is due two days prior to the completion of the job. He showed up and I paid him. The workers were not the owner. I am in a wheelchair. When they came to put the refrigerator back two days later, I noticed the dip in the floor. I called the ownerHe came over and said it was nothing, it was just my floor and the tiles settling! Many tiles are broken and all the grout is coming up. The owner sent his guys to look at the floor. They replaced the broken tiles. He never did the bathroom, and he kept the money! Do not do business with him!!
