I have been working with Litchfield Cabinetry on the past 8 jobs that I can think of for custom cabinetry. All clients are very pleased with the work and craftsmanship. I am an interior designer and I want to always take my clients to the most professional and easy to work with vendors during the design selection process. Stephen Litchfield is great with guiding the clients through the meeting with concepts, asking the clients' needs, and showing samples and work from previous projects, etc. He is very detailed and takes great notes during all meetings. I had the pleasure of working with Stephen Litchfield on my new home construction project. Our project included a kitchen, laundry room and five bathrooms. Stephen made the process easy--he listened closely to my wants and needs, and my crazy (and not so crazy) design ideas. He worked with my builder and other professionals to give me a dream home full of unique features. I was able to find ideas and inspiration on the Litchfield Cabinetry website. But best of all, Stephen designed and built several of my cabinets based on magazine photos, ads and personal photographs. The decision to choose Litchfield Cabinetry to install all the cabinets in our new Long Cove home was an easy one. When we began the search for a cabinet maker we interviewed and worked with almost every cabinet maker on the island and in Bluffton. After 6 months of searching we didn't feel the excitement we were looking for in the plans we were shown or the people we worked with. One day I walked into Stephen Litchfield's showroom, met Stephen, and after 10 minutes knew that I'd found our cabinet maker. We knew what we were looking for in the way of style and function but wanted some fresh ideas also. Stephen personally ran every design meeting so he never heard our needs through an "assistant". Stephen honed in on our personal tastes quickly, often introducing new and exciting ideas. The design process was never difficult because Stephen truly listened to our desires and needs and met each and every one of them, also taking into account our budget requirements. We chose Stephen to design, build and install every cabinet in our home, of which there are many. He was never satisfied with a plan unless he felt himself that it was perfect and perfect for us. Working with Stephen and his staff was easily the most enjoyable part of building our new home. We are confident it was the best decision we made in the building process. The end result is beautifully crafted custom cabinetry with a well thought out design that we will enjoy for many years to come. Even if we tried, I could not find a single thing that we are unhappy with in any of Stephen's work. Our home was finished over 7 years ago and our cabinets are as beautiful today as the day they were so carefully installed by Stephen and his crew.
