Kirby's Pools can help turn your backyard into a relaxing getaway. We believe that EVERYONE can have a pool, no matter how small or large your property is. Kirby's Pools provides everything for remodeling, repairing, designing and building pools and spas. Kirby's has been in business since 1980 building pools, spas, waterfalls, fountains, Koi ponds and providing major pool repairs and related services to residents throughout the Peninsula area including San Mateo County, Atherton, Woodside, Hillsborough, Belmont, San Mateo, Burlingame and everywhere in between. Owner Shawn Kirby has worked for two of the largest Northern California pool building and remodeling companies during his nearly 30 year career and he understands how important dependability, honesty and integrity is.

I was very impressed with Kirby Pools. They returned calls, always answered my questions, price was right and my pool was taken care of in a timely manner. I would recommend them.

I will not recommend anyone hiring Kirby Pools for installing any new pools. They might have some experience fixing old pools but they don't seem like they even know the process of getting a new pool permitted. We have been trying to work with Shawn Kirby for the last 8 months and they haven't even been able to successfully submit the plans for permit. At first, they took a piece of paper and hand made drawing to the city which of course they rejected and asked for proper submission. Since then, they are just round and round in circles to be able to submit back to the city without any plans. In addition to that, they have also taken our money but no action for last 8 months. Shawn doesn't return calls - if you somehow get hold of him, says he will call back in few minutes and doesn't do that. Please save yourself some headache and find someone who knows how to get a new pool done.

We were starting in the middle of the pandemic when everything went online. The entire platform changed - at first we would bring in a spec drawing to get the approval process started and then the changed the whole process in which we were in communication. Ateet wanted things done ASAP and unfortunately during the pandemic things moved much, much slower. This review is not an accurate account of what happened. We chose to discontinue this project after the treatment from Mr. Goel. We are sorry you feel this way, and I hope you were able to get your dream pool built!

Shawn Kirby and his team put my gorgeous pool in. They were wonderful to work with and provided great service. Shawn's son, Ryan, continues to service our pool on a weekly basis and they quickly respond to any issues if needed. They are super helpful to ensure we can continue enjoying our pool! I'm really glad we chose to work with them due to the high level of prompt service they provide on an ongoing basis and the lovely pool design we ended up with.

Kirby’s Pools have done an excellent job resurfacing our pool. It was neglected by the previous owner. We met to discuss what needed to be done to bring the pool and equipment up to date. Shawn provided a proposal detailing all that needed to be done outlining the cost. He and his staff arrived on time and completed the job under the project date. I highly recommend Kirbys Pools for all your pool needs

I would advise anyone considering working with Kirby pools to reconsider their decision. Shawn Kirby has failed to complete our project after nearly 2 years. There are numerous components of our pool's systems that were either installed improperly or not installed at all. Mr. Kirby is unwilling to even acknowledge any mistakes, let alone remedy them. He actively avoids making good on his commitments. His latest tactic to is avoid even picking up the phone. In short, he is not an honorable businessman in our experience. You have many options on the Peninsula. Avoid Kirby Pools at all costs.

Your equipment was installed in working order, and upon further review you (the homeowner) messed with it and then blamed us. After the way we have been spoken to and treated we decided the best route was to end the relationship. We have many happy customers and would love to provide many references if needed. I have used Kirby's Pools for over 20 years. He has remodeled 2 pools, and serviced the rest of the time. He has very fair prices, always easy to get a hold of and easy to work with. I highly recommend.

Shawn and his team were the very best, most reliable, friendly, trustworthy contractors we've ever worked with. They showed up on time every day and kept us informed of progress and plans. They were extremely professional and respectful of our home and family. (We have two small children and they were regularly concerned about keeping the back yard safe for them during construction). We have been enjoying our pool and back patio/arbor now for over a year and feel good about the entire experience we had with Kirby's Pools.

Kirbys pools were reliable very professional and very efficient and getting the work done I heard them to work on my pool and have never regretted it my pool is a older pool which needed lots of work and the owner of the company gave me an estimate and it worked within my budget. I highly recommend this company for all your pool needs.
