I recently had a pool was completed with Pools by Mario
in March 2026. Within one month the tile began to shift, move and crack. I
gave Mario, the owner ample opportunity to address and fix the
problems, but the problems only got worse. He was given
permission to replace the tiles that had popped up, cracked and were
hollow underneath due to poor installation. The first week of June I came
home from vacation and the contractor had taken it upon himself to
jackhammer out the concrete deck around the pool without my
permission. This has created bigger problems with damage to my newly
built home, landscaping, irrigation and the pool itself.
The pool has been filled with concrete rubble and rocks for the last couple
of months, including concrete being stuck in drains and plumbing. Mario insist that the tile is the
problem, but I had the tile manufacturer inspect the tile with their engineers stating that it is within
industry standards and was poorly installed. Mario takes no fault for his mistakes, and has yet to
offer me any other solutions. He has started to reinstall tile with chips and imperfections from the tear out instead of replacing
them with new tile. In addition to this problem the pool builder poured the driveway, which quickly
became covered with cracks.
My backyard has been torn up for months, and I have spent numerous days off from work
cleaning up his employees mess which I have asked of him time and time again. I would not recommend his services.
Poor workmanship, and cleaning practices!
