Rushing Design and Rick Rushing did an amazing job on our backyard pool project! There were a lot of trees and a unique design that had to be built up 10 to 12 ft. high. He used his architecture background and building skills to create a true Oasis off the back of our house. Rick has a very creative mind, so anything you can in vision he can design & create. He is very patient and easy to work it, so I would highly recommend Rick Rushing and Rushing Design.

I've know Rick Rushing for over 20 years professionally and socially. I find that in the greater Lexington area, Rick has an outstanding reputation in all regards. I've had the pleasure of witnessing several of Ricks design and installation sites, all of which are well thought out and executed to the highest level of attention and detail. One of my favorite projects is in the Chevy Chase area, an unusual triangular lot of a pool and landscaping. A brilliant use of space and design was applied, no different than many if not all of his projects that I've experienced. I couldn't recommend Rushing Design more highly.

Rick was our first choice landscape architect to design a new set of front steps for our home. Our lot dropped off between the front door and the sidewalk some 20 feet and the building contractor chose to avoid the slope and ran the front sidewalk to the driveway which required guests to walk half way up the drive--hopefully avoiding parked cars. Rick's brilliant solution was to create two rectangular landings on the slope connected by short flights of steps that traversed the slope at a comfortable angle while also enhancing the view of the house and plantings from the street and sidewalk. Our neighbors loved his design as much as we do.

He customize designed a pool and yard for us that required removal of existing pool in a confined space.
