Andy came recommended from two different friend groups. We have had him and his son do two different jobs for us and they've both been superlative. He isn't the cheapest, but hands-down, he's the best value. If you want a job done right, call them. It's far more expensive to have to do the job twice. (Don't ask us how we ended up having to give him a call. We're still salty about that.)

I have used Checker Tile a number of times on different projects: custom concrete counter tops in kitchen and bath, custom concrete table tops, custom concrete fireplace surround and tile installation in bath, lower level of house and kitchen backsplash. I have been overwhelmingly happy with the product as well as the process. Andy is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. I feel like he always tries to provide me with the best product for the job at a price that fits in my budget. The end results have been well above my expectations. Andy is really a master of his craft. I would not hesitate to use him for any future work.

Fabulous job on my bathroom remodel (tile floor and walk-in shower) and kitchen backsplash. Andy offered much needed input regarding shower tile placement and joints so that the end result is balanced and attractive. He made a lovely sloped corner bench and a useful niche. He even painted the exposed sides of shower tile so the sides blend when viewed from the sink area - something that I would never have thought of. He installed glass tile on the kitchen backsplash with lots of cutting around outlets and switches. Tile placement is perfect, with little or no breakage. I am thoroughly impressed with Andy's work and much appreciated his helpful input as well as his cheerful demeanor.
