JD Tile

We discovered a leak in our tiled shower and needed a professional to assess and repair. After reviewing more than 5 bids, we contracted with JD Tile on both price and recommendation from colleagues. Jon was very respectful and great in the design. He found and fixed a number of issues from the original construction 10 years prior with the previous owner (slop, drainage, waterproofing). Jon did things right and gave us a great design. He is a trained Schluter System installer which gave us assurances of sealed shower. Total cost was under $8500 with materials (4x5x9 enclosure) as compared to the $10-13k bids that I got without materials.

I cannot emphasize how talented and professional Jon is. He takes time to listen to your wants/needs and discusses everything with you along the way. His skills are superior and the shower looks amazing. Because he did such a great job on our shower we also hired Jon to install a tile backsplash in our kitchen. The backsplash looks fantastic and again, a great experience. This has been one of the best installation experiences we have ever. Jon is a joy to work with and always felt completely secure knowing that the job(s) will come out beautifully.

Jon just installed a bathroom floor for me. He's pleasant to deal with, trustworthy (Had to let himself in as we had an emergency the morning he was to start our job.), showed up when he said he would and it's clear by the work he's performed, knows what he's doing. We have a tile shower in our master bathroom that a 'reputable' company installed 15 years ago that needs to be gutted. I'm looking forward to working with Jon again on that project.

We contracted with JD Tile to replace our master bathroom tile in the shower and bath-surround and to install a tile floor. Extremely neat, reliable, punctual, respectful and professional with an absolutely top-notch end product. The work done was completed early, and Jon provided design input along the way. His flexibility and desire to please his customers was especially obvious to us as he suggested multiple ideas throughout the job process, and was comfortable accommodating our requests on the fly. A true professional, Jon's commitment to staying current on trends, materials and techniques was also apparent as he regularly attends industry conferences to learn. We also felt comfortable allowing Jon access to our home while we were not home, which is a rarity for us. We'd hire JD Tile again.

Jon just completed the remodel of two bathrooms for us. His work is impeccable. A true craftsman who continues to update and learn. He went way beyond in all aspects of the remodeling process. He is also very dependable and just a really nice guy. We look forward to having him back to work on an addition we are planning.

I want to be clear and not represent my review or opinions of JD tile and Jon, but I hope this helps others. I found Jon at a tile discussion forum and he was kind enough to respond to a few questions and concerns I had following another contractors work. And in such a timely manner! His answers were clear, and his philosophy and respect toward his craft as well as his clients, even more so. All in all, his professionalism is commendable and I have dealt with many types of home improvement providers. Had I the opportunity to do my master bath all over again, I would hire JD Tile in a heartbeat! . Jon's credentials and knowledge, as well as his commitment to continued education in his field, are obviously extensive. Unfortunately, these were all qualities and skills that my tile installer lacked. End result was a mediocre tile installation by the "know it all" that my general contractor used, instead of a meticulous and detail oriented installation that would have surely respected the beauty of my chosen marble…If only I had been fortunate enough to have worked with Jon and his team at JD tile.

Jon's work is outstanding! He takes a design and transforms it into a beautiful final product. He is very pleasant and friendly to work with and easy to get in contact with. We have dealt with Jon for a few years now providing tile for his clients, and every finished job is excellent. We would highly recommend Jon if you are looking for an installer!

Very professional, and does excellent craftsmanship. I loved the floor and bathroom he did for me, first class guy as well, was very nice to be around and very nice to the kids. Just a pleasure, I would hire again in a second!
