Tile Lines

My husband and I have been regular customers at Tile Lines for the last four years. We have bought tiles for our fireplace, daughter's bathroom and more recently our master bathroom from this store. We are always so impressed with the variety of great stock, amazing design ideas and helpfulness of the staff....they go out of their way to help with whatever project you are working on no matter how big or small !!! We would particularly like to thank Rita for her help. She helped us choose the most stunning glass accent tiles for our shower....Can't wait to start showering!!! Carl and Amanda

We were originally drawn to Tiles Lines because their prices are so reasonable, but a kitchen and three bathrooms later, we have many more reasons to think they are the best. Their recommendations on type of tile, kind of grout, how it should be installed, etc. were knowledgeable and professional. There isn't a problem they haven't encountered before and solved well. My husband did much of the work on our projects, and Tile Lines told him exactly how the surfaces should be prepared for the various products we used--particularly in the wet areas of the bathrooms. They were helpful and spent the time needed to answer our questions. Now for the best part--their design expertise is outstanding! I had in mind the colors and mood for each of the rooms we were tiling, but did not have a clue about how to get the effect I wanted. Ryan and Katie understood exactly what I was after and worked with me to create tile layouts that I love. Their design talents are amazing. All remodels have setbacks and delays. In one instance, the tile we ordered was no longer available, but Tile Lines kept us informed and helped us pick out new tile. I felt they were on my side in dealing with suppliers to fix any problems that cropped up.

I read the reviews before I chose Tile Lines because I knew our project was BIG, and we've never laid tile before and I wanted a local place that would be able to have time to offer advice. The reviews seemed to point to Tile Lines as the best choice. They definitely were! I am so happy to take a moment to offer a review of my own. The staff was amazing! They were so patient and helpful, they answered all our questions and offered great advice and tips for our project. Every step of the way I was continually impressed with their professionalism. Tile Lines is a great place, I feel comfortable recommending them to everyone. I will definitely use them again for our next project!

We bought some mosaic tile and were advised there was no trim piece made that would fit it. So we were told that everyone used a schluter with this mosaic tile. We had it installed and it looks horrible - the schulter application did not work because it didn't fit the tile right (Tile Lines sold me the schulter and promised it would work with our mosaic tile we ordered from them). Tile Lines would not assist us previously so we had another tile installation company come up to give us an estimate to do a rework. This guy says that he's seen several of these installations and that the schulter does not work with the mosaic tile. I'm calling the manager, Darrel, again right now to ask for their assistance because they sold us all the materials and apparently made an error which has caused us months of delay, rework, and stress. We will update this review again after our phone call to Darrel. No matter what Tile Lines says - do not install mosaic tile with a shulter.

I am very impressed with Tile Lines! I am a DIYer but had not tackled a tiling project for 12 years and there are so many more wonderful products available since then. The professionals at Tile Lines were so very patient with all my questions and took the time to discuss ideas and suggest solutions to some of the challenges with the project. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a really good selection of products and great customer service.

I love all the design inspiration in their showroom except i can never make up my mind. Too many awesome ideas. Their selection of unique tile is unsurpassed. I have done my kitchen and am now doing my master bath.

We saw a display of theirs at a home show, taking a picture of part of it because we loved it. About 6 months later we decided to track them down. I needed help with everything from A to Zed, not being a DIYer. Our general contractor handled installation of everything, but multiple individuals at Tile Lines helped us make choices. My husband and I had to rely heavily on their extensive professional knowledge, product lines and integrity. (They also cheerfully helped load my vehicle once the tiles arrived and coordinated a swift delivery of product from a warehouse closer to my home.) We bought products for bathroom and kitchen: tumbled travertine tiles, grout, high-end sealer, polished rocks on mesh, some fish shapes, a red travertine vessel for a bathroom sink, Pental bubble tile for kitchen backsplash, and silvery glitter grout (a new type of product sold only in a giant container for $150.) The glitter grout was the only epic fail. Thank heavens my installer tried it out on a small sample of the tile on a separate piece of wood then waited to see how it came out. It shrank and you had to work super fast or it left a stubborn sandy residue on the glass. We got normal powdered white-white grout and were happier with white than if the silvery/gray glitter grout had worked out. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, a good variety of products and reasonable prices (neither rock bottom nor astronomical --- and the clearance corner has truly clearance pricing.) We felt so lucky to have stumbled across Tile Lines at the fall 2013 Seattle home show.

Tile Lines is the best all around source for selection of tiles and free design assistance in the Seattle area. Their completely customer oriented staff has the knowledge for helping make the sometimes difficult decisions with regards to design in a field that offers so many choices. They not only can supply tile from local wholesalers at the most competitive pricing but have lines exclusively available through their store. Experienced craftsman are also available to help with technical questions to ensure your project will be a success regardless of your decision to hire a specialty tile contractor or to take on the installation yourself. I have 25 years in the tile industry and have worked with every vendor in Seattle. This store is top of the mark no matter the size or complexity of your project. Definitely worth your time to stop in and experience for yourself!

We purchased porcelain tile that they helped us pick out a couple of years ago. Thank we took their FREE DIY class and went home and installed the tile ourselves. The tile is very beautiful and the people at Tile Lines went our of their way to help us all along the way.
