German System Windows

BUYER BEWARE! The only positive that we can say is that the windows have been installed and that the installer did exactly what the company told him to do. However, communication with the company over the last 6 months has been erratic (for instance, long periods of lack of communication, then without any warning we get a call that they're standing in front of the house with the windows and why aren't we at home). Communication has also been unclear. We didn't order new window trims because we never dreamt that they would not only not replace the original trim in our historic home, but that without prior consultation they would haul away our trim, leaving us with unfinished walls and no trim to finish them with. And when we asked them to return them, we were quoted back a special clause in our contract whereby we would have to pay for the recovery of our trim. The next time we need European windows, we'll work with a different company, in Ohio, with whom communication is prompt and precise, and then we'll use our own contractor, who when confronted with a problem tries to help resolve it rather than quote the contract.
