Common Threads

After 25 years of operating a custom window treatment business out of our home studio in Leechburg, PA, we recognized a community need for high quality quilting supplies, and classes for kids and adults. We opened Common Threads 356 in August 2013, expanding the scope of our business to include selling fabrics, sewing notions, patterns and other quilting materials, along with providing custom window treatment services and a wide range of quilting classes. We're excited to share our knowledge and experience with our customers! Sharon is a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, with a successful history of teaching kids how to sew (and love it!). I'm also a longtime member of the American Sewing Guild, as well as a professionally trained window treatment consultant and seamstress. James (my husband) has a strong background in the sales industry, along with years of experience as a professional window treatment installer. He's also professionally trained to offer scissor sharpening services. Here at Common Threads, we're continually looking for ways to improve our services and exceed customer expectations.
