Jane does beautiful work, and is very professional in seeing the project thru to it's completion/delivery/installation. She helped us get our house ready for a neighborhood home tour, and cheerfully tackled window curtains, shades, slipcovers, and more. I highly recommend her.

I worked with Jane on custom drapes for my dining room and she did an excellent job. Her meticulous attention to detail is impressive, and the finished product looks outstanding. If you are looking for a master seamstress look no more. We needed drapes made for our newly renovated living room and dining room. The drapes are made from heavy weight linen and lined, and had to hang just right. We first had them made at a local upholstering and sewing shop that had done some work for us in the past. The drapes they made were a disaster even after returning them for refinishing 3 times. Then we found Jane Murphy and she was just superb. She is both a designer and a seamstress and the drapes she made were beautiful and flawless. What a great job Jane does! She made curtains that look like a million bucks, designed an ottoman using a bold striped contemporary fabric and constructed pillows that are beautiful in their construction. Not only that, she helped us choose pillow size and placement. She has a great sense of design, is creative, meticulous and responsible. She is a true design professional whom we would not hesitate to use again should the need arise. Her prices are very reasonable, and she is a consummate professional, direct and very easy to deal with. We recommend her most highly with absolutely no reservations. I can not say enough about Jane! This is the first time I have worked with her on custom treatments for a client. It was a bit of a challenge, because we did a TWO story, angled window. Jane personally cut each rod to fit the angles perfectly! She had detailed notes for the installer (who was excellent as well!) AND came out to the job to put the finishing touches of steaming the fabric and making sure every fold was perfect. I so look forward to working with Jane in the future!

Jane did a wonderful job recovering two chairs for me for a guest bedroom. The room is still a work-in-progress with the chairs setting the tone for the rest of the room. Her work is impeccable . . . Three months later, all finished with additional fabrics for accent pillows and bedding. There's just no substitute for custom work by a meticulous professional and I thought her pricing was very reasonable able. Very happy with the result!

Jane did a wonderful job creating the look that I wanted. The photos do not reflect just how well all of the yellows and grays blended.

Jane....I LOVE the slipcovers for my couch and loveseat! You have given them a true second life! The upholstered cushions for my two chairs look as if they came new from the factory...only better! I truly appreciate your talent and your time in reviving these pieces. Jane is very skilled at making whatever you need and is very good at taking your idea and creating something perfect! She has made window treatments, taken an existing window treatment and remade it, theater curtains, outdoor furniture chair cushion covers and table cloths for our family. It was great working with Jane! She is punctual when it comes to communication and had our Roman Shades completed on the date promised. She came to my home and measured each and every window and gave an honest opinion on what type of shade would suit the room best. On the install, she is equipped with her own set of tools and takes pride in hanging each shade. I would hire Jane again when I need to update my windows!

I bought some semi-expensive fabric and wanted to have a roman shade made for my kitchen window. I contacted Jane, she walked me through how to measure my window. From the measurements and a few photos I sent and the fabric I dropped off - she made a beautiful roman shade that fit my window PERFETLY. She even installed the shade for a small fee, which I thought was well worth it since I did not want to mess up what she had just made. If I ever need window treatments again, I will not hesitate to contact Jane Murphy.
