Ageing Gracefully - custom designed wine cellars

Bob took on the creation of a wine storage cellar in our new home. From start to finish, he was professional, engaged and a creative problem solver with design and the constraints of the space. He completed three separate projects toward getting our wine storage needs and we were very pleased with the final product. We would highly recommend Bob Tucker, who is definitely Ageing Gracefully, for fine woodworking projects you might have.

Bob designed and installed my custom wine cellar for a very non-standard shaped space. It came out gorgeous. I love it. I did not realize the brilliance of the design until I began loading up the racks with wine. The row of label facing racking allows you to see what u have without pulling out a bottle.

Our experience with Bob and Ageing Gracefully was exceptional. Bob was a great communicator and fair priced. Our wine room had a couple of unique custom elements that he pulled off perfectly. And as he noticed last minute things that needed to be changed or improved, he executed quickly at a reasonable price. We would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Aging Gracefully did a super job of transforming an underused storage area / mechanical room in our home to a gorgeous new wine-cellar. Bob Tucker, is an amazing craftsman that is dedicated to ensuring both a beautiful AND functional space that highlights and protects our wine collection. He quoted accurately and communicated regularly on the progress of the project and, again, did a masterful job of creating this beautiful addition to our home!

After many years of storing my wine at an off-site locker, I finally decided to go “all-in,” and build that custom wine room that I had always wanted. I happened upon Bob’s listing on Houzz somewhat by chance, after having received quotes from a couple other cellar builders in my area. I am sure glad I did! Unlike other designers I spoke with who seemed to focus on a “pre-fab” install, Bob’s work reflected an entirely ground up approach that was tailor fit to my available area. Bob listened to what I wanted, crafted a preliminary design, and was receptive to feedback throughout the design and construction process. Bob provided direct oversight throughout the construction process, and hand-built and installed the racking & cabinetry himself. Bob’s work is outstanding, and he is a true artisan in the craft of woodworking. I love the final result, and can recommend Ageing Gracefully and Bob and his work without reservation. I only wish I would have happened upon him sooner.

It is my pleasure to review Bob Tucker! Bob helped us design a smallish wine cellar under our staircase. He had wonderful ideas about how to maximize our small space, blend it in with existing design elements, and make it look beautiful. Craftsmanship and professionalism were excellent. I have found the owner of aging gracefully Bob Tucker To be a honest and ethical business man . His pricing was fair for the work he did in my wine cellar. Bob was very articulate in both the estimating process and the build process.. Bob kept me well informed all through the process. He was very proactive and informing about my time frame on the selections of wood types and stains for the different types of wood products that me and my wife had to make in order to keep the job on schedule. He kept the job site nice and tidy all through the course of construction and asking if anything was in our way. And any design changes did not bother him in the least . I wanted to incorporate a cigar humidor into my wine cellar and he did an amazing job . Bob is very creative and definitely thinks outside the box. There was a delay in the job Beyond Bob’s control and he keep me well informed. Bob seem’s to be very driven by customer satisfaction and it shows in his work, All in all I would definitely recommend aging gracefully to anyone.

Bob built the wine racks for our new wine shop in Portland. The shop is small (400 sf), so efficient racks were essential to carrying the stock we wanted. Bob's construction and finish was top-notch. His recommendation of wood species was excellent as well. Every new customer complements the racks and the smell. If I remember right, his delivery was late, but only by a few days, and this was for racks for 3000 bottles. Overall, it was a pleasure to work with him. I would never dream of going anywhere else for our future racking needs!

If there were a sixth star on the rating chart I would give it to Bob. We recently built a new home and Bob was responsible for all of the finish wood work. His attention to detail and devotion to craft carried through every aspect of his work. We had many finish conditions that were highly customized and Bob offered great solutions. We couldn't be happier with the final product. Based on our personal experience, I would unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone.

My husband and I built a large custom home (8000 sq feet) of which Warm Tones did all our finish work which ranged from trim work to balusters/railings to all of our hardware door installation. His (Bob) product knowledge was invaluable as we had many decisions to make when trying to keep within the style (Northern Italian) of our home….always presenting us with options/recommendations. He also helped us design and build our 900 bottle wine cellar which we absolutely love and constantly receive compliments on. His attention to detail showed in the finished product/work of everything he touched. Bob was always prompt and his professionalism was above and beyond. He takes pride in all the work that he does..as if he was doing it for his own home. We have been in our home for over 4 years and we still do not hesitate to call Bob to resolve any issues (big or small) that arise and he always responds in a timely manner. Bob Tucker of Warm Tones was a significant contributor in the construction of our higher end home in Oregon. Bob is intelligent and thoughtful. He spends a great deal of time planning and engineering his work. He is very flexible about making changes and keen to hear ideas. He is willing to be creative in designing personal features and interested in trying new things. I spent a great deal of time working through design ideas in many areas of our home and Bob was very professional and excellent to work with. In addition to the pleasure of working with Bob, the quality of his work is outstanding. He is a perfectionist in every way. He will not compromise quality for anything.
