the blue ceiling and blue walls? are they the same?
Love the box beam ceiling for the dining room. I'd leave the small lights out, however
Great faux box beam ceiling with puck lights
else are box beam ceilings popular? In dining rooms, which tend to be one of the most formal rooms in a home. In this example the look is fresh and updated, as a result of the lovely blue walls adjacent to the abundance of white millwork. As a side note, a modern fixture in the foreground is very interesting
coffered ceilings, heavy millwork and white furnishings, this space feels like a real-life version of the porcelain that gave Wedgwood blue its name.
effective two tone woodwork ceiling in kitchen - lovely
Beamed ceiling - for our home -- note that lights CAN be wired through beam...
Kitchen beams but white. Glass front xabibets
kitchen the ceiling trim wood tone is repeated on the island. I would find the dark beams to be too heavy, except for the logic of the choice and the lighter wood flooring, which balances the design. Then look at the view, a kitchen with a wonderful view out the kitchen sink window is truly a luxury!
coffered ceiling and what is the height and width, dimensions
How deep are the coffers in the ceiling? Thanks!
sandalwood kitchen / layout and ceiling
Coffered ceilings and white colour scheme
like pendant lights as well as ceiling lights
cabinetry and boxed beamed ceiling were not enough, a striking bench in this kitchen nook upholstered in a bold gray and white stripe adds wonderful style.
This all-white kitchen blended big design features like a coffered ceiling with practical details (a microwave hidden in the island) that we could all
to the ceiling, marble countertops, subway backsplash, banks of windows and box beam ceilings.

Small living room with box beams and major chandelier
adore the box beam ceiling, paneled walls and dramatic chandelier. All just waiting for the owner to move in. If this were my space I would want to balance all the traditional architectural detailing with simple furnishings and a couple abstract paintings full of outrageously beautiful colors, just to mix
Love the beams...how do I get this look via stain on my interior pine kitchen beam?
Celing beams painted grey (instead of pure white)
wall stops at ceiling beam and doesn't continue to the deiling and cover the beam
flitch beam. really like this.
love this "greyed" weathered look on the beams
gray wood beams are carried throughout the entire space, bringing in a rustic element to this otherwise modern home. Cleverly, the space between the beams line up with the closet doors, adding another interesting design element. Simple stunning design, all the way around.

does the ceiling take away from the beautiful kitchen ???
an "in-ceiling" hood could have been integrated, without any visual interference. Check out the attached photos for some ideas, and visit our website for more info: http://www.futurofuturo.com/island-range-hood-IS54SKYLIGHT.php
Just do area of ceiling with new lights
Ceiling and wood floor with white cab
entire ceiling not included in grid
this box-beamed ceiling covers the kitchen area and brings the ceiling visually down slightly. If you're going to go this route, it's important to give the ceiling treatment some sort of design purpose. Here, the beams have a slight traditional feel, matching the feeling of the rest of the kitchen.
After box beam ceilings the trim detailing that stops me in my tracks are spectacularly framed archways. And this space has both.
In case you're unfamiliar with the term, coffers are sunken panels in the ceiling, usually in the shape of a grid. The design detail dates back at least to ancient Rome
adorning the ceiling of the Pantheon.
Coffered. A coffered ceiling contains a grid of flat panels between boxed beams.
