I am assuming these were custom made for the room.

I love this. I have a small kitchen with vaulted ceilings. I need more space and hate cleaning the tops.

Thanks for your comments! Yes, these most definitely are custom made, although in this instance, the upper diagonal portion may just be serving as a design feature. We have done a second row of upper cabinets in other kitchens (and bathrooms, believe it or not), and we sometimes use a rolling ladder to access those hard-to-reach spaces. This beautiful space was designed by Malcolm Davis Architecture, and we have always admired Malcolm's brilliant space planning abilities... www.mdarch.net
