An adventure is an exciting or unusualexperience. It may also be a bold, usually risky undertaking, with an uncertain outcome.
We at Architects’ Guild feel that one would approach this ‘wardrobe’ with a sense of trepidation. Curiosity would win over fear and the adventurer would be drawn to getting their hands on the big brass knocker handle. The door would open, creaking on its hinges. Some vintage clothing hangs in the wardrobe. The door shuts behind the seeker. It is dark in there with only a hint of star light coming in from a perforated roof above. Behind one of the coats is a portal to crawl down and through. The space opens up. It is white and lit through translucent curtains and viewing portals. The curtain opens up to the outside world. Turn around and there are openings to look back into the wardrobe by moving the hats on the hooks with secret levers. One can climb over the entry portal, discover another viewing hatch into the wardrobe, then grab the monkey bars and make their way to the top roof deck. From the railings, which double as curtain rods, the discoverers can move the curtains as they wish. There are small trap windows to see below.
We expect that adventure seekers will want to show their friends the ‘secrets’, maybe through the element of surprise. One can act out plays in whatever world they wish to bein. Solitary discoverers may wish to settle in a place and drift into their own imaginations. We are eager to let this playhouzz interact with the adventure seekers in whatever fresh ways they experience it!
